Karim was an excellent source of information from the start. He encouraged us to do the project ourselves first because he felt it was an easy fix and didnt want us to have to pay for it. He even offered to loan his tools! When he did come to fix the planks, he fixed an additional one (at no extra cost) that collapsed. He was easy to communicate with. Lex came highly recommended by my brother so I decided to hire him to lay a backyard concrete patio and widen the driveway. Work was delayed from September and finally started in the second week of December. This should have been my first warning sign. He assured me it will be fine as he has done work in colder temperatures. I trusted him as he was the professional. The backyard patio was laid first and the driveway was done a week later. In the late spring, I noticed some flaking of the backyard patio surface and called Lex. He said he would come out to have a look as soon as possible. He never showed up nor did he contact me. (My second warning sign). After several more calls to Lex, I felt he was feeling annoyed with me calling him and he actually shifted the blame on me stating I must have sprayed water onto the patio concrete after he left. Why in the world would I even do this as any normal person would wait for the concrete to harden. Needless to say, Lex NEVER came back to see how the flaking affected the patio. After I paid him the full amount, he considered this a closed case! To this day, I cannot fully enjoy my backyard patio as the flaking has affected the whole surface and each time I see it, I cannot help but feel being ripped off by this man! In my opinion, his workmanship is extremely shoddy and his customer service is non existent. Our driveway was old and in bad shape, and we had a major grading issue. Several companies gave us a quote, and I asked how they would solve the grading issues. Angelo was the only one that really knew what he was talking about. I had been putting off getting it replaced because I could not find anyone until I met Angelo. I had seen a couple of his driveways in our area that he had done and was impressed by the quality. They did a decent job of stamped and aggregate concrete for my lawn and backyard. But disappointed with their after work customer service and response. Few cracks showed up, but did nothing about it. Few spots with broken coating, but did nothing about it. When they layer gravel on the sides of the concrete, did not do a proper layering of the black material before putting the gravel, within a year grass started to grow. Wanted to get a proper drain because backyard neighbour raised issue, but did nothing about it. Basically they dont respond to you once they are completed, paid off and gone. We hired Alcozi Landscaping for snow removal, last winter and this winter. Last winter, he was okay. This winter, he up-ed his price, but the quality decreased significantly. He came by to clean the snow after the snow storm on December 23, but unfortunately there wasn't much snow removed from our driveway. When I reached out to him, all he said was that it needed to be salted because he uses a snow plow and doesn't do it by hand. But the amount of snow that was left was not going to melt from salt, as well as the fact that if I'm paying to have the snow cleaned, it should be cleaned regardless if it's by hand, snow or salt. Highly disappointed with the service and lack of accountability.

I hired him to do my back deck with a partial pool surround. Because of the cost i was not expecting anything fancy; much of it was done well and a quick look at the deck it looks good but there are some major issues: 1. One set of stairs has to be rebuilt as two of the stair risers are significantly different heights than the rest-the second stair is 5.5” high while the others are 7” which leaves the bottom step to the ground about 9”. 2. An approx 1’x15’ extension was built off the back of the deck for where the back stairs were to be built onto. After he completed this set of stairs they were about 1’ short on one side and 6” at the other end instead of the span of the original 15’ extension so it looked weird. I got an extra patio stone and 6 more stair stringers and rebuilt this set of stairs myself. There were a lot of other smaller structural and cosmetic issues that I will be fixing myself. He gave us a small discount on price so I could buy materials to rebuild both stairs.
