BEWARE OF JOHNNYS CONCRETE Sam was great right off the bat, excellent with clients, friendly and responsive. He did one job 24x24 pad and had drainage issues. He sent a worker to do a repair, cutting out a section and repouring. This did not fix the issue and is now not responding. Offered to pay him more money to fix it and now have been ghosted. Wonderful experience and job well done. Special thanks to Michael for heading the crew and getting the work done ahead of time. The backyard grading along the property line between my neighbour and myself happens to be quite contentious. It has been mediated by the Richmond Hill Grading Department (RHGD) who have been quite understanding and reasonable in their handling of the situation. When the request came from the RHGD on what was needed on my side, a call was put in to Greenlane Landscaping to estimate the job and provide details on when it could be done. They, in fact, were the only landscaping company that answered my call. Michael, their landscape architect, came by and scoped out the job. It was done in a professional and congenial manner. The terms were agreed fairly shortly after that (regrade of the the area and resod as needed) and the date was set. There was a wrinkle in that the job date had to be pushed forward to meet the needs of RHGD and that was accommodated by Greenlane. When the date came, Greenlane sent a professional crew supervised by Michael, and they did a highly professional job. The crew was congenial and and empathetic in their relations. The job was completed to a first rate standard. the sod and soil provided were excellent and the instructions provide to keep the sod growing were easy to follow. In fact, the sod is the best grass I have in my backyard. There have been no issues with RHGD regarding the work done so far on my side of the property line. We knew Hernani and his dad for a while and had been looking at getting a driveway built by them. We had seen their work on their own driveway and it looked great. Based on that trust, we decided to get our own built by then. Its a very big 3 car driveway. The job started off in a timely manner, however the finishing is not what we expected. Our driveway had depressions where water started accumulating. There were also lots of holes where water started filling up. They made attempts to rectify the work, buts its not fixable. We later found out they had contracted out the entire driveway to another company while we were under the impression we were hiring them to do it. We just looked at the driveway midwinter and it looks like this driveway wont last for more than 2 seasons, we feel completely ripped off. Unfortunately I would not recommend them for driveway projects. At the end, we feel like we paid for low quality work whereas multiple neighbors in our area for beautiful driveways built for way less.Latest review:Handymanbyzack

I would recommend Kanata Renovations. Although the project dragged out longer than anticipated their work was acceptable but I think given the fact I provided most of the finish materials (other than Mortar,grout, electrical wiring) the pricing could have been better.
