Asphalt Paving
- While asphalt pavements cannot be customized, they are cheaper than concrete, making them a popular choice among homeowners.
- Asphalt paving is also easy to install and maintain, and can last a long time with regular maintenance and repairs.
Concrete Paving and Driveway
- Concrete driveways and floors are very popular among homeowners and hiring a contractor can help you achieve firm paving on your desired project.
- Concrete can also be customized with stamps and stains and last over decades, which makes it a top choice for homeowners.
Asphalt and Concrete Repairs
- Asphalt pavement repairs and concrete repairs are also things that your hired paving contractor can help you get done.
- Although pavements and driveways can last really long, they are exposed to extreme temperatures and constant usage which may lead to cracks. When repaired instantly, it can elongate the life of your driveway or paving edge restraints.
Gravel or Loose Fill Paving
- Another increasingly popular project for paving contractors is gravel or loose-fill paving. Whether you are using irregular paving stones or 2×2 paving stones, this paving method can lend a rustic yet aesthetic look to your pathway or garden.
- The cost of hiring paving contractors for any of these projects can be found by referring to the table above.

My neighbours and I share an island between our driveway. If I decide to do my half to extend my driveway with asphalt. Would I be able to do that just on my half. I don’t want to join our drive way together. Would that be ok?

How do I attach wooden fence panels to concrete posts without grooves?
Anonymous user 10/11/2025 - 9:55 AM
I'm trying to replace my old wire fence with wooden panels but I want to keep the existing concrete posts. Some additional info: - They don't have grooves to slot panels in. - They don't have holes at the front so I can't just drill through the wood and bolt them on - There are holes on the sides where the wire links through to the next section. - The posts are more boundary markers than proper fence posts. I can't drill new holes. So, is there a way to attach wooden panels with the current setup? What should I look for in a wooden panel to make this work? What kind of screws or bolts would I need? Could I attach something horizontally and then fix the wooden panels to that instead? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Backyard fence leaning inwards
Anonymous user 10/11/2025 - 9:53 AM
The fence in my backyard started leaning inwards, looks like some posts are rotten, is there a way to re-inforce them with some metal poles to straigten the fence as a temporary solution?
