Asphalt Paving – Install, repair, patch, seal
- If you want to install an asphalt driveway, there are certain limitations on how you can customize it – while there are some tints available, it is mostly limited to black. Asphalt usually costs less than concrete driveways but also requires more frequent repairs.
- Asphalt pavements or driveways should be sealed and need sealing every three to five years. Asphalt driveway repair or patches can cover up most cracks seamlessly and it is a common service as usage can lead to cracks in all materials.
Concrete Driveways & Floors – Install
- Concrete companies in Toronto offer driveway and floor installation. It’s a popular choice among many homeowners for its durability. With decreasing and occasional repairs, concrete driveways can last up to 50 years or more. You can also stamp, stain or use tint to lend a customized look to your driveway.
Concrete Flatwork – Repair & Resurface
- Building paving contractors also offer repair and resurfacing of concrete flatwork. With usage and weather conditions, there may be cracks or spots which would need to be repaired or resurfaced and getting these done on time can prevent further damage and longer life of the driveway.
Gravel or Loose Fill Paving – Install, Spread or Scrape
- Gravel or loose fill paving is an aesthetic option for paving driveways and is also cheap on the pocket. Contractors can also help you scrape or spread the driveway when using loose fill.
- A rubber driveway is yet another cheaper option when it comes to driveway paving. These are durable and do not need as much maintenance or pre-work before laying out.
- A brick paving contractor can also help you lay out an aesthetic driveway with bricks or stones, which can be more convenient than gravel, especially if you live in the city.
Paving Contractors
- Many paving contractors offer all the services but they may have specialties when it comes to designing and executing pathways or driveways. The decision of whether you should hire an asphalt paving contractor or a concrete paving contractor will depend on the task you have at hand. Depending on the actual job, the prices may vary, however, the average cost of hiring paving contractors in Toronto is approximately $4,118.

How do I attach wooden fence panels to concrete posts without grooves?
Anonymous user 10/11/2025 - 9:55 AM
I'm trying to replace my old wire fence with wooden panels but I want to keep the existing concrete posts. Some additional info: - They don't have grooves to slot panels in. - They don't have holes at the front so I can't just drill through the wood and bolt them on - There are holes on the sides where the wire links through to the next section. - The posts are more boundary markers than proper fence posts. I can't drill new holes. So, is there a way to attach wooden panels with the current setup? What should I look for in a wooden panel to make this work? What kind of screws or bolts would I need? Could I attach something horizontally and then fix the wooden panels to that instead? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

The fence in my backyard started leaning inwards, looks like some posts are rotten, is there a way to re-inforce them with some metal poles to straigten the fence as a temporary solution?
