Finer Edge Painting & Improvements reviews (1382)

Had Vince and a few other potential contractors come for a quote and I felt most comfortable with Vince and his professionalism. We were selling our house. His price was mid-range but I relied on Homestars glowing reviews - Finer Edge did not disappoint. They painted our entire basement, 3 bedrooms and the main floor, the and the wall along the staircase. They helped patch up larger holes better than I could, very smoothly. I will hire them for our new house as they did everything really well and within the time frame they promised. Very very happy with the results.

Derek Huntington and Scott from Finer Edge managed to create a dramatic new look for our formal dining room, working from a photograph from a magazine. Grasscloth wall covering from Schumacher. They also made several repairs to original plasterwork, built-ins etc., and were in and out in a week.

A terrific experience working with Finer Edge from the first meeting with Bill to coordinating with Frank and his team of painters, all the way through post-painting follow-up. Customer service oriented, reasonable rates, professional job, friendly, on time, job done as scheduled. We are extremely satisfied and highly recommend them.

I found Finer Edge Painting on Homestars and decided to try them out based on their ratings. Well was I impressed!! These people are all professional in everything they do. From the co-owner Bill Yoannou who did the reasonable estimate to the project manager Lui Didomizio who co ordinated the three man crew led by Ben( who really is a craftsman and I should know my father was a painter for over 40 years). They all take pride in making sure you are 100% satisfied with the work they do before they leave. They are very tidy after each work day and you could not tell that they were there at the end of the day. I also mentioned that I wanted some carpentry done and they did that as well to the same high professional standards thanks Ben! Here is how much I liked them they are already scheduled to come back in July to start on the inside of my house. In this day and age it is such a comfort to find such nice people that really care about what they do and who you can rely on to do what they say they are going to do when they say they are going to do it and to leave you completely satisfied at the end. I was very pleased with the exterior painting provided by FinerEdge. The job was very well organized and the crew was friendly and efficient. Also, it was finished in the time they said it would take and the job site was left clean. One of the painters even went out of his way and changed a light for me that was to high for the ladders I have. I would certainly recommend FinerEdge.

Finer Edge gave us a much better quote than the two other alternatives I followed up, and quoter and point-man Ben was pretty good about answering our questions and keeping in contact, before, during and after the job. The actual painting crew were three Hungarian-Canadians (apparently Hungary is renowned for its painting expertise and training - who knew?), who were pleasant and amenable throughout. They completed the job in the budgeted time, and kept the place pretty clean while they were doing it. There was a certain amount of dust from the ceiling plaster repairs they did, despite their attempts at plastic covering the furniture, and I ended up having to pretty much clean everything from top to bottom after the painting was finished, but I think that was pretty much unavoidable. The team managed to overcome any complications (e.g. moving built-in shelving, reaching high or awkward areas, scheduling repair work and painting work as needed, etc) with a minimum of fuss. I was able to go around with the team at the end to check that everything had been done well, and they carried out a few little minor touch-ups there and then. Both the repair work and the painting was completed to a good standard and on the whole we were pretty happy with the results.

Luigi and his team painted our home last fall. They had it completed in three days and overall did a great job. When they left everything was cleaned up well. When I noticed that the paint was coming off on the front porch a month later I called Luigi and he sent someone out in the spring to sand and repaint it. I would use them again. Especially since they responded so well when there was an issue to deal with. JB Toronto

Through their website back in April, I asked for a quote to paint all the window and door trim, and the soffits of both the house and the detached garage. Bill called me back the next day and we arranged to meet to discuss what I was looking for. He showed up EARLY for the appointment and was very good about listening and understanding what I was looking for. He provided a booklet outlining a bit about their company but also testimonials and references from people who had used Finer Edge. We agreed that outside painting could not be done until good weather arrived and we arranged for them to start June 2nd. About 2 weeks before they were to start, I got a message from Mishelle who looks after ordering paints and supplies for the painters to do the work. We discussed what colours I was wanting. I said I wanted the same colours as what was on now, Mishelle offered to come by the house and look at the colours and would ensure they matched --- which they did beautifully ! About 3 business days before the start of the work, I got a voicemail message from Colin (the assigned Project Manager) to introduce himself and to say that they were all set to start on June 2nd. On Monday (June 2nd), Colin, Tony and Alec showed up at the agreed upon time of 8:30 am. We went over the work and they started right in. On Tuesday, 3 more painters joined Tony and Alec. And on Wednesday, all were back at it again. They were forced to stop Tuesday at 11:30 am due to rain. They finished Wednesday afternoon about 3:00 pm. Throughout the 3 days, Colin came by frequently to check on the progress. The guys were great --- very personable, tidy and thorough and perfectionists (they wanted it done right!!). It looks beautiful! I would definitely highly recommend them.

Luigi and his team did an incredible job! I couldn't have asked for better results. They went above & beyond! Every time I enter my "new" home, I smile. Thank you!

I again hired Finer Edge to do more outdoor painting at my house. As usual they were totally professional showing up when expected, doing an excellent job (Drazin was the painter), and charging me exactly as per the quote. No fuss, no muss and a great job. Will certainly hire them again
