Recently had some chimney work done and the contractor said that there was a racoon in my chimney. They said to wait about a month, in case it was a mother raccoon with babies. I decided that I didn't want to take a chance on the racoon leaving and contacted AAA Gates. I promptly received a call from the office and the woman kindly explained their service and base pricing, and offered for a technician to come out for a free inspection and estimate. The technician, Joel came out on Sunday and I explained what the chimney guy told me. He went up the roof and checked. When he came down, he told me there was a racoon in there, but couldn't tell if there were any babies. He explained what he could do to see if he could get the racoon to come out now, and next steps. I decided to go ahead with Joel's recommendations. Joel was great. He explained, he was not pushy, and I did not feel at all pressured. Joel did get the racoon out, and said it was a male, so he put on a one-way door and came back on Tuesday. He was running a little late and called me to let me know. He removed the one-way door, sealed the chimney and screened it. I opted to go for getting the roof vents screened off as well as the plumbing vents. (That is why the job was $1,000, otherwise would've been around $650). I would highly recommend AAA Gates. Joel was very professional, friendly and explained things: he did not push or sell to get the work. Both the office and Joel were great. No hesitation to recommend them in a flash.
