In deciding who to hire to paint our home, we obtained several estimates from different companies. We decided to go with Budget and Save Painters after meeting with Kerry and hearing his plans for painting our house. Although they did not give the cheapest estimate, they also were not the most expensive. They gave the longest warranty and were willing to do small house repairs (e.g., repairing cracked deck boards, and replacing a few rotted exterior house paneling) so that our house would look as good as new once the new paint had been applied. We felt particularly good about our decision after a second meeting with Kerry and a paint sales rep to discuss the kinds of paint they would be using on our house. We became concerned when Kerry pushed for the best products-- assuming that he would use that opportunity to increase the cost of the job. Much to our pleasant surprise, Kerry informed us that using the best products would not affect his original estimate. Throughout the job, Kerry checked in with us and was willing to apply additional coats as requested. Already we've had positive comments from neighbours about how good our house looks. Budget & save Painters were competitive with their pricing on one of our larger rental building located in Vancouver. The presentation was enough that we decided to try them out on the exterior. I was given a fair estimation, and Kerry provided a written outline (agreement) of the work to be performed. It started with a detailed proposal, with Kerry and Tabatha, the operators, detailing out a list of the scope of work to be done. Budget & Save Painters were contacted and hired to paint the interior of my business. Kerry and his team were instructed to prep and paint all open areas and all door frames/window frames. Once the job was underway, it was completed before I knew it. Kerry and his team even worked throughout the Canada Day Long - Weekend; and everything was completed on time. People seem to have either positive or negative things to say about contractors in general, including painters & decorators. My experience was very positive. I had Tabatha, who I connected with right away, and Kerry redo my entire living space, bedrooms, den and hallway. They were prompt in coming for the estimate, started the work on time, and finished on time (even though some additional work was added in the mix of things). What a beautiful job. It looks like a new home, which in essence it is. While not overly expensive or cheap the final proposal (price) was just right. I am a very happy customer and would use Budget & Save Painters again.
