Canadian choice windows and doors , puts the word choice in make another choice to get new windows . Had my windows replaced several weeks ago and I'm still cleaning up the mess . The mess left was like a small bomb had gone off all over the entire house and the yard . It took me several days to clean up foam insulation and caulking and wood shavings and aluminum cuttings and trimming . The mess was every where , all over the floors windows and front lawn the back deck and back yard and the driveway , both kitchen and bathroom sinks were left dirty and covered in caulking . the mess even made its way in to both my neighbours yards as well.
I also noticed when the windows were installed they were a lot smaller than the frames there were made to fit, 2 to 3 in gaps had to be filled with lots of extra foam and caulking . properly sized windows wold have fit better and required less messing around to fit in and install and back fill with foam and sealer . when the old windows were removed much of the paint around the window frames on the inside was damaged and not repainted of repaired in any way . Now I'm noticing that several screens do not fit the windows very well and looks like they could just fall out if the wind blows hard enough, the screens simply are not made large enough to maintain pressure to hold them selves in the window frames .
Canadian choice windows also failed to supply me with the advertised triple pane windows as advertised in there flyer and made a switch to only double pane windows . The old bait and switch trick !. They also failed to honour the $500 dollar coupon I was entitled to receive. So please feel free to make another choice for your windows.
