Hi Elaine, thank you for such a great review on Canadian Choice Windows & Doors. We are immensely grateful for your business and want to thank you for it once again. Regarding the vinyl trim, it is generally a good rule of thumb to assume that the part you drill holes into will no longer be covered under warranty, but other parts of your windows will still be covered. The reason being is that we cannot guarantee that if defects occur, whether it is due to the manufacturers' defect or not, and will not be able to assist if it is discovered that you have tempered with the products and caused its deterioration.
