We had sewage backup rising in our basement floor drain and started to get worried that it would overflow. We talked to our neighbour and she recommended Express Rooter. I called them immediately (it was a Saturday) and within five minutes, I received a follow up call from Jason who coordinated with us to do an assessment the next day (Sunday). He arrived a bit early, with a courtesy call when he was on his way. Jason then put a camera scope down our pipes, checking for water flow and obstructions. He explained everything I was seeing and identified the problem: an outdated u-trap. He then outlined what the next steps were, gave us some practical tips for eliminating the odour and current backup and informed us of the City's rebate program that could offset the costs of the work to be done. We agreed to proceed, and the very next morning workers arrived and replaced the necessary pipes, installing a new backwater valve. Now I feel secure that we won't have any backup issues in the future. After the work was done and the inspector visited, Jason returned to explain and demonstrate the maintenance requirements, as well as to go over the rebate application form. Overall, Jason, the excavation team and Express Rooter were amazing! Prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I would most definitely recommend them!
