It was my first trip to Kingsway Carpet and Blinds. The service was exceptional. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. There was no pressure to buy. The Installer came on time and was very accommodating. Sales staff also followed up after installation to see if we were happy with their products.

New blinds fitted to assist with negating strong solar heating from 17 foot south facing windows. The assistant in the store was very knowledgeable and pointed us in the right direction and then walked through the process, he visited to give us a proper quote and organised for Reps from Hunter Douglas to visit and measure the window sizes. The installation was quick and the installers arrived on time. We are very pleased with the results and would recommend Kingsway Carpet & Blinds to others.

We had shutters, blinds and other items installed by Kingsway on three levels of the house, some 34 windows of all shapes and sizes plus various sliding doors, patio doors and windows. The sales consultant we first met (Habib) was knowledgeable. Soft-spoken gentleman with a excellent knowledge. His breadth of knowledge helped us. In addition to Habib, ALL the superb people at Kingsway guided us. Without such guidance, we would likely have taken much more time to bring ourselves up to speed. All of Kingsway's people, incl’g the founders and owners, gave excellent advice and guided us on every aspect of the job. We have a lot of windows and the cost of the shutters and blinds part of the job was approximately C$27,000. If we paid a bit more than we would have to the chains, it was certainly well worth it: Kingsway gave good advice and saved us TIME, that most precious of all 'things'. The installation is not entirely without glitches: cords for the expensive blinds came off upon the very first and second use; and (b) the remote to operate the large sliding window do not work. We reported both issues to Kingsway and Elizabeth and Marie needed us to send some information. I did not get to this yet: first a medical matter took longer to resolve than expected due to family exigencies. It is not Kingsway’s fault the repairs are not yet done. I am however puzzled that Hunter Douglas has allowed these well-known issues to remain outstanding for years. I note that others have had the same issues and one expects greater reliability from Hunter Douglas who position themselves as a premium brand. It is also unfair to their distributors, and especially unfair to Kingsway. Kingsway is a fine example of how a boutique, a specialist, owner operated enterprise (as Kingsway is) can so often be superior to the big-name chains. We want to thank Marie and Elizabeth by name for the extra mile to help. ---------- We visited Kingsway again recently to choose stair carpets for two stair cases. I was not able to follow through right away and am thankfu that Kingsway were so understanding that I took longer than I said. We plan to get the work done by Kingsway very soon.

The installers called prior to their arrival. They arrived on time as mentioned and worked throughout the day and evening until late. They finished that night to my satisfaction. I was pleased and a couple of my friends saw the flooring in my two bedrooms and were impressed.

I walked in to Kingsway, knowing nothing more than I needed privacy window coverage for my living, dining rooms and kitchen. Elizabeth spent alot of time with me explaining in detail the options, advantages/disadvantages of various window coverings, and what would be ideal for my home and lifestyle. Once we decided on shutters Kingsway was very helpful by being at my home (when I was at work) for the measuring and installation - saving me 2 days of vacation. The pricing and quality is excellent, the service is extraordinary - do call them, you won't regret it!

While I was a little upset having to pay for the service call, which I believe should be covered by Hunter-Douglas as part of a life time warranty, I cannot fault Kingsway Carpets & Blinds. If Hunter Douglas will not cover labour, I do not expect the retailer to inherit the expenses. Having said this, upon our visit to discuss our problem with Kingsway, they outlined what had to be done to resolve the problem, ordered the parts, and kept us informed of the progress. Their service representative was very cordial, professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to discuss and answer various questions that we posed. I would certainly recommend Kingsway Carpets and Blinds. I again want to stress, that my comment at the beginning, does not reflect on Kingsway, rather Hunter Douglas.

We were looking for blinds to install in the baby's room. We went to Kingsway Carpets and Blinds and within 2 visits we had selected and scheduled an installation date. Service for both sales and installation was exceptional. Installation was on time and they left the room as clean as when they arrived. I would definitely recommend this place again.

I purchased blinds for my entirely renovated cottage in Muskoka. This was a supply only arrangement as I handled the install myself. When I met Elizabeth in the store I knew I was in the right place. Blinds are not inexpensive and the worst experience you can have is dealing with an unknowledge person when spending any amount of money. Regrettably there are countless businesses that don't become fully educated about what they are selling and further don't ensure all of their staff are up to speed. I ask a lot more questions than the average consumer when I spend my money and I am pleased to say Elizabeth had all of the answers and provided me with a significant amount of confidence in my final purchase. Further when I presented a difficult window to cover Kingsway had a remarkable solution outside of the Hunter Douglas line up. I have spoken to Elizabeth since my purchase with minor issues and questions and received excellent service. Though I don't believe Elizabeth has spend any serious time installing her product you would think she has as her product knowledge base is phenomenal!!!!

NEVER buy Peerless Carpet from anyone including Kingsway. I have only had my carpet for less than 2 years and had to rip out the section because it looked horrible. It matted and flattened to look like a 20 year old carpet. They are telling me that it was from "lack of cleaning & maintenance schedule". I have a cleaning lady that comes every two weeks and had it steamed cleaned twice within 1 1/2 yrs. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PRODUCT!!! There is no 25 year durability warranty. Don't be fooled and don't waste your money on their products.

I was very pleased with the service I received. They came and measured and to be sure remeasured. The installers did a great job removing the old ones and putting in the new ones. All the people I dealt with were professional, pleasant and helpful.
