The product is great (which I attribute to Hunter Douglas, not Kingsway Blinds) and the pricing was very fair. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. Dealing with this company was a nightmare.
The day my blinds were to be installed, they gave me a 2 hour window where the installer would arrive. But then he arrived 2 hours late for that window. My entire day was wasted waiting for him. I asked for him to do me a small favor by moving pre-existing curtains from one window to another and I was told I would have to ask the owner (George). When I spoke with George and explained that I felt this was a fair compromise for the inconvenience he caused, he gave me a massive lecture about my bad attitude, trying to get something for free, and how I needed to learn how to speak with people.
Next came the installation. The installer left hairline cracks in all of the frames surrounding my windows. Moreover, they ordered the wrong blind. I paid for the silhouette with a deux room darkening, and they forgot the room darkening blind. Had to re-order the blind, which took another 3 weeks and then wait for the installer to come again.
Throughout this entire process, not a single apology was issued, nor was I contacted to inquire if I was satisfied (which I am not). Honestly, all of the circumstances above would have been totally forgivable, were it not for the terrible attitude of the owner George. I have never been talked down to like that in my life!
The Hunter Douglas Silhouette blinds are fantastic! Do yourself a favor and buy them somewhere else. Terrible business!
