Window replacement
Further to my initial review, I now thought it best to do another based on the performance. I thought I would be able to change the rating to a 5 star but I have to be completely honest. It still remain Zero! Especially after the company is disputing that I am in fact a "paying customer", what an audacity!
I had replaced several windows in November 2016. After the first complaint about the condensation issues (below) which I was told is due to humidity levels in the home. I have since measured my humidity levels with those of my neighbours and they are roughly the same however I see no condensation on my neighbours windows. The owner, Bill was in contact with me but I honestly believe he was mainly involved to ensure he got paid for the balance of the money owing. He called a few times around the death of my father in law; I had not responded with urgency but having listened to the hostile voice message, "going to send his sales man to my house to collect the cheque that evening". I realized they had no intention of helping or offering any discount or compensation for the lifetime of problems I will continue to experience. I called and inform them they could collect payment. I wanted nothing else to do with this company. They've not followed up since payment was received in full, as expected! I believe a company should be honest with their customers and disclose any issues that may arise from the installation of windows. This was not the case, I was only told after the fact, that I could also have condensation on the outside of my windows in the summer. No surprise there! What an amazing view! :(:( (picture below) My advice to anyone considering any new installation, be cautious, be informed, do your own research to ask all the right questions before proceeding. I would never use or recommend Lifestyle Home Products to anyone! I remain very frustrated and disappointed..

Our old windows had started to condense and become drafty in 2014 when the gas leaked out. We tried everything including caulking, plastic wrap, etc but nothing seemed to work so we decided to get quotes from 3-4 different window companies to replace them.
We were referred to lifestyle Home Products by a neighbour in the same area. The cost was between the low and high end quotes from two other companies and with our sales rep, an expert in his field sold us on the quality of the product, service and assured me that our condensation issues would be solved with their new high- efficiency double/triple pane low e-argon gas windows. I was looking forward to brand new windows that don't have to be wiped, would save on hydro cost and make the house warmer.
Bill and Adam did an incredible job installing the 3 windows in November 2016 with the other 4 scheduled for the Spring. I was happy with the work done and they cleaned up afterwards, thumbs up for them! Long story short, the new windows started to CONDENSE within a week of being installed and at a temp of 5 degrees Celsius; and with colder days ahead, it was bound to get worse, it's deja-vu all over again!
I called our sales rep, he was considerate enough to come over and take a look, it was shocking, he was puzzled, never seen or heard of this before. He advised me to send pictures and start a correspondence with the company which I did immediately telling them of the condensation problem. I was then told it could be high levels of humidity in the house that may be causing the problem. Bryan was scheduled to do the test, humidity was between 35-38% he says he wishes he could do miracles, but there's nothing that can be done". With a small balance outstanding to the company, resolution is required before payment is complete.
This is very disappointing, frustrating and unacceptable for a company that advertises and confirms that their "Rubberized “Super Spacer” seals to prevent condensation, mold, and heat transfer". I am faced with this on-going problem of condensation that I have to wipe daily. I would very much like the problem rectified as soon as possible and I do believe there is a defect with the window as there are gaps along the super spacer seal. I am asking
lifestyle for their immediate assistance and look forward to better functionality, replacement or repair of same. Keep you all posted of the results.. and hoping to change this review rating to 5...
