    Packing/Moving

    I was getting ready to sell my home, so I needed to put some stuff in storage and needed some extra help to get it done. The guys who showed up were on time and pleasant to deal with. There were a couple of hiccups (including a scheduling mix up whereby the movers showed up a couple of days early), but Rent-a-Son addressed the issues immediately.

    Move and packing/unpacking for storage

    Hire these guys, you'll be glad you did. This review is long overdue. We hired Ren-a-Son to move our belongings from a condo into a storage "pod", and then several months later, to unpack the pod and move everything into our home. On both occasions, the two "sons" arrived on time, were extremely polite and careful with our items, and an absolute pleasure to work with. I cannot speak highly enough of their professionalism and work ethic. The best part was, they were available to pitch-in and assist with random tasks during the moves (such as hauling and loading supplies to and from our car, wrapping/unwrapping delicate furniture, etc.). This was a real advantage - their service is not limited to moving boxes and furniture - they completed a whole host of smaller tasks that we needed help with. The end result was a smooth move with less effort on our part. I'm so glad we hired Rent-a-Son and will definitely work with them again!

    Packing and placing in storage

    The two gentlemen were incredibly courteous and professional and took great care in protecting some of the furniture we wanted placed in storage. We also moved out a large number of boxes. When you calculate everything the price comes in on the high side, but they go through everything very meticulously and apply packing materials/wrap to chairs etc. as required. If your stuff isn't very nice it may seem over the top. Definitely not a low end service. Again, the professionalism and courtesy are pretty much the highest I've come across in the home service industry. Also, they and the company as a whole make it seamless, reducing the hassle factor to zero.

    Front/Back Yard Landscaping

    Had Rent-a-Son over twice (so far!). First had one "son" completely weed out our front lawn preparing for us to resoil. Then a week later, 2 "sons" came over to spread soil, rake, til, landscape, work on our rockery, cut shrubs and more...all three workers were outstanding - very hard workers (even in blistering heat!). Will be using them again easily - well worth the $30 and hour with 4 hour minimum!

    Removed sod and soil

    I have a small garden that I wanted to renew. Professional landscapers were quoting thousands of dollars to remove the existing grass and cement like soil bed. Rent a Son provided two strong men who removed the sod and soil and put them into paper bags for removal. they worked non-stop and kept the site neat and tidy. I would not hesitate to use Rent a Son again.

    Move all furniture out of first floor of house into a pod and a garage to prepare for floor refinishing.

    The movers were prompt, efficient, polite and very careful. What more could you ask? Nothing was damaged at all. They even asked if they should remove their boots in the house.

    Move furniture from house to storage pod

    Two young men from Rent a Son arrived at my door and in a timely and very pleasant manner co mpleted all the moving I required. They were very careful with wrapping the furniture and ensuring that no damage was done to the walls. It was a pleasure to have these very polite and helpful gentlemen in my home I have used Rent A Son in the past and the level of satisfaction is always very high

    Yard Work

    Two sons showed up on time and reviewed the work to be done only once. They came to me with questions regarding where I wanted plants positioned and they were neat. It was an extremely hot day and they worked hard, stopping only when I insisted they drink water. I would have them back in a minute......and I think I will.

    tried to arrange a move

    I rented moving plastic moving boxes from this company. they were useful to have, and the people who delivered them and picked them up were courteous and nice. I also attempted to book my move with this company, but then had to switch to a different company. I found the person I dealt with on the phone was very difficult for me to communicate with, and their procedure for booking the move was cumbersome and inconvenient. The move needs to be booked for an exact number of hours committed in advance, and it is not always possible to predict exactly how long a move will take. I was looking for convenience, and wasted a lot of time on the phone and email trying to arrange this move before giving up and switching to another, less expensive company. However, I do think the actual employees who do the moves (based on my experience with the moving boxes) are good people.

We are sorry that you found our booking process to be cumbersome. I spoke to the coordinator and we apparently offered you an afternoon open-ended booking so that you wouldn't have to commit to any particular amount of hours. I know that our moving booking process can be extensive sometimes but it is purely due to the fact that we want to get things right. We could offer you a ballpark or guestimation of time and equipment/supplies required to do your move based on limited information but that would make our estimates inaccurate and your final bill unpredictable. Our goal is to prepare our Sons with the tools, time and information for a flawless move. I hope your move was a success and that you are enjoying your new home!     moving - loaded a storage pod

    We had to load a storage pod when we moved and when they arrived they knew exactly what to do. I was impressed with the efficiency. They were curtious, fast, and they all worked well together to get the job done right. Great company. Hussein was very knowledgeable and asked all the right questions to make sure we got what we needed. What pro's!!
