    Moving

    First, I found Ms Strathdee to be genuine and transparent. I thought this was extremely important in looking for a company to move me from Ontario as it seems that the moving industry in that province has been deregulated for about the last ten years and so companies are better able to customize standards for their own profit and to the detriment of customers. I received and rejected two estimates before deciding to go with Rent-a-Son (RAS). Each of them included significant extra charges, such as having to climb more than five stairs, which RAS deemed silly. Ms Strathdee was also super available on her direct line which she provided to me right from the beginning. As for the 'sons', they were all careful, thoughtful, personable, punctual and flexible. They also seemed quite happy in their work. I imagine that this is attributable to how they are being treated by RAS as an employer. I was appropriately refunded for a wardrobe box that never showed up for the loading. Thank you for helping me make the move less of a headache or a rip-off.

    Moving

    Team was great! Emailed to confirm the date and time of arrival two days before the move and arrived on time the day of the move. Took great care of our things when moving. There was no surprises when we got our bill at the end which we were thankful for as we have heard so many horror stories. Will definitely use them again for our next move and will also recommend them to our friends. Thank you Rob, Justin, Brent and Chris for making our move day stress free :-)

    Moving

    It was such a pleasure to move our office using Rent-a-son. The sons arrived at our office, looked around and came up with a plan for the move, communicated the move plan to us, asked if we had any needs that would alter the plans (i.e. things we needed in our new office quicker than others as we moved 75ft over in the same plaza) and then got to moving things. The sons were incredibly friendly and efficient. Business continued for the day as usual even when the sons needed to move the last desks as they had set up all of the office furniture where we needed it to be able to hit the ground running in our new location. We were so happy with the guys moving us, they were friendly, well-groomed, personable and knew what they were doing! Thank you Rent-a-son!

    Moving

    Workers were on time and very friendly. Bedframe and crib was dismantled by the workers with no questions asked. There was also an issue with a baby gate that I could not unscrew from the banister. One of the workers took care of that for me. No issues what so ever. A+++++++

    Moving

    The process to set up move was simple, well communicated, and very accommodating as I had to re-schedule my move within same week. The crew was very careful and respectful of my property....great guys!

    Moving

    The gents were on time, very friendly and were overall really great to work with. They were also very productive, and did the job super quickly. I would definitely recommend them, not just for their speed and efficiency, but for their kindness and hardwork!

    Moving Company

    After moving several times myself we decided to contact a moving company to assist with our move. We had the pleasure of costing and setting up our move with Amanda Strathdee. Everything that was promised on the day was delivered. Moving from North York to Downtown Toronto took under the time they predicted. The guys we professional, polite and really knew their job! I was never worried and as we all know thats important on moving day! Id like to thank Amanda and her team for making our day a great one from beginning till end. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to move.

    Moving

    Chris, Junior and Shaine were amazing and very helpful. We planned on taking up an hour or two on moving boxes out of our apartment, but they took only 30 minutes, saving us a lot of time and hassle. Moreover, they patiently waited with us while the previous tenants of our new place moved out at the very last moment! We loved the service!

    Moving Company

    I received the BEST service from Rent a Son. I am so sorry I can't find the names of the 2 guys who moved me yesterday (August 28th) They were the best movers I have EVER had. My only criticizm is the expense. I had a very small move and at the last minute I wanted to delay the move by 3 days. Had I followed through on that I would have had to pay a penalty in the area of $200. I don't have my final bill yet but basically I did find the quote expensive. But you do get what you pay for and the two guys they sent were exceptional.

    Moving House

    On one on the hottest days of the year my four person Rent a son crew showed up to move the contents of my 3 bedroom rental house to my new house purchased across town. The four genial lads who showed up we friendly, polite, intelligent and hard working . They were proactive and wrapped everything in sight that could get scratched or damaged and really took care of my stuff. I threw a curve at them which was that several large items would need to be hauled up and through a second-story window then I had to have removed. They all heaved and ho'ed heartily pulling large couches and wall units up a giant ladder only using only straps and their arms. Nothing was damaged and everything got in successfully. The movie itself was on time and on budget and everything meant my expectations (unlike my last move two years earlier with another company that ended up being five hours longer and with the crew that was unequipped and showed up 2 hours late because of a broken truck). Many thanks to the crew Jordan, Franko, Brent, Kenny and Alan. Also Amanda in the office was helpful too!
