I found Rent-A-Son here on Homestars.ca and thought it might be a good option. I received a quote from them, along with a few other in Toronto movers. Their quote was a bit higher than the others, but they were also the most complete (as they included things like a 42" TV moving package, and a wrap for our mirrors). They also decided to quote our move with 3 movers as opposed to the two movers most other companies were quoting. Also, before I accepted the quote, they sent along a very helpful email on some tips they had to help packing be a bit easier. Obviously, I ended up accepting their quote and going with their service. On the day of our move, with a 9am start time, I received a call at 8:53 saying that the truck would be 5-10 minutes late, but they were on their way. In the end I think it was about 2 minutes late, but I appreciated their call. The three movers they sent were extremely polite, professional and helpful in getting all of our mounds of stuff out of the over packed 2 bedroom apartment we were moving out of. They worked fast and efficiently, and never once were negative about the packing we had left to do on the day. Upon arrival at our new home, they unpacked their truck very quickly, and had the truck unpacked in about 1 hour. I couldn't believe how fast they were. In the end, the time used was about 4 1/2 hours, 1 1/2 hours under the six we were quoted, and our invoice reflected that. We were charged less than we were initially quoted, which was a super thing to see. Even if the invoice was for the full 6 hours we were quoted, it would have been worth every penny for the work these men did. If you are looking for quality, professional and properly insured and bonded movers in Toronto, look no further than Rent-A-Son! They are worth every penny!

I had a triple move - storage locker to condo to home. The entire process, from upfront pricing, guidance, communication, to actual move-day was effortless. These guys are professional in every way. The movers are polite, quick, careful, and clean. Not a single bend, chip, fall, etc. I highly recommend.

The team from Rent-a-son was on time, carefully and efficiently moved my items, and got them set up in my new home without any problems. The team members were all courteous and easy to work with. The great staff made my moving day go absolutely as smoothly as I could have hoped for.

Moved to my new house and Rent-a-Son looked after the move. Very smooth and trouble free. The group of three performed a tricky mattress hoist. They were on time and did a nice job. I would happily use them again.

When we decided to totally renovate our Toronto house after 21 years, it became obvious that staying in the house during the job would be very impractical and so my wife and I packed up and moved most of our things into storage. A small amount was taken to my sister's where we stayed for 7 weeks. The rest went into storage facilities, not far from our home. The moving company that we employed (Rent-A-Son) did such a good job that we actually used them on three separate occasions, to get stuff out quickly and into storage, so the contractor could begin work in our house, to take some things out to my sister's place in Scarborough, and then finally to bring everything back, afterwards. We dealt with Erica at Rent-A-Son, initially in order to make the bookings, and she handled everything in a very professional manner. We didn't expect the price to be dirt cheap and it wasn't, however, the quality of the job was so professional, we never quarrelled about it. When the movers came, they were right on time, fully equipped to help wrap items carefully and 3 young men were very nice and helpful, eager to load the truck. Each job was done exactly as we expected and within the estimated time given. Kudos go to Malcolm, Allan, and Sam in particular as they had to return large items to the house that included a huge armoire we refer to as "the coffin", actually big enough for two bodies. If we ever need a moving company again, we will be certain to call Rent-A-Son, as they performed well beyond our expectations. I highly recommend them to all my friends, neighbours, and family.

I contacted 3 different companies for estimates. Only 2 called back and Rent-A-Son was by far the most pleasant to deal with. The estimate was reasonable but what was outstanding was the ability to reach them. I had a personal contact number and they ALWAYS called back - wonderful. Plus, on moving day, they were punctual, efficient, and courteous. They were particularly careful and attentive with my things - love that. Next time I move I will only seek one quote and I'll go with Rent-A-Son again!

We enjoyed terrific service from Rent-a-Son. The movers were professional and genuinely nice people. Their interactions with us and our kids made the entire moving experience much less stressful. Highly recommended.

I can't say enough about this moving company. The moving coordinator, Hussain, was excellent and very communicative with us to ensure that the move went off without issue. The movers themselves were on time, efficient, considerate and very very fast. You could tell they meant business when they came. Our move went awesome and I couldn't think of it going any smoother. Definitely an awesome choice for our recent move and I would highly recommend them without hesitation.

Used Rent-a-Son in both personal and corporate capacities for moving in and out of a 4 bedroom home and storage, as well as a 30 person office. I have used them on 4 separate occasions now. In all my experiences i have found them to be both professional, efficient and well priced. Attention to keeping contents safe during the move was a priority. Always took necessary precautions to not damage flooring and carpets. Found movers to be hard working, accommodating and pleasant to deal with.

I wish I could rate this company better. We were in a very tight time-line and in a tough personal situation. We did not realize that the price goes up every day towards the end of the month. We were quoted one price on Friday and on Monday it was a lot more. We felt boxed into a corner with no other choices. Everyone was polite and moved properly. I think if you avoid the end of the month, the pricing might be okay, but otherwise expensive. Also, be prepared for the price changing. Never knew that it kept on going up.
