    Insulation Removal

    I'm a builder who just moved to Barrie from the Ottawa area. Great Norther Insulation was the only company out of 3 to call me back and give me a quote, John and Jefferson came to remove the insulation they did a great job. I look forward to working with GNI in the future.

    Attic R60 Blown In Fiberglass Insulation

    Called GNI Barrie to top up / upgrade aging attic insulation to R60. Angelo promptly returned my call and came out the next morning to take measurements and provide price. Schedule was made and a week later Tom and Brian came to perform the work. These guys are pros and they know their job. They worked fast and clean and the attic is now a nice and thick blanket of fluffy insulation with moore vents to allow proper attic air flow. Thank you Angelo, Tom and Brian for a job well done.

    Totally Professional Experience

    I cannot think of enough superlatives to describe our recent experience with Great Northern Insulation. Everyone who assisted us with improving our insulation was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and totally professional. We arranged with Lowes to have insulation added to our attic as part of the GreenON program. Within a few days I was contacted by Glenn, from Great Northern Insulation, who arranged to come and take measurements. Glenn was extremely helpful in showing us where we needed to upgrade our insulation and where it was adequate. He started the GreenOn application process and took the initial pictures. He made that part of the process extremely easy. The quoted price was excellent even without the GreenON rebate. Shortly after signing on with Glenn, Kim, from the customer eXperience team, contacted us to offer us some dates. Once again, she modelled all the attributes of Great Northern. When we had to go back and change the date she called us back quickly and worked with us to find another time. Exactly as scheduled, Nathan and his assistant Brandan, arrived and with total care for our home and completely professional service, they increased the level of insulation in the portion of the attic that was deficient. While the heat wave had broken, it must still have been incredibly hot in the attic and under all their protective clothing. When completed, they vacuumed up he entire area leaving no trace of the process. Nathan even showed us the after pictures to illustrate the new level of insulation we now had. This install was incredibly professional, easy and extremely positive. Great Northern Insulation is a wonderful company to choose to have work done in your home.

    upgraded insulation

    GNI recently upgraded our attic insulation to R60. Noticed immediate improvement in air con performance . Hopefully similar improvement in winter heating performance. Work was completed professionally and efficiently by Tom, Brian, and Andrew of GNI

    Attic Insulation

    The workers arrived on time, set about doing their jobs professionally, explained the process to me. They were competent, professional and enjoyable people to deal with. I am very pleased with the final outcome. I would recommend them to my family and friends should they need this service for their home(s).

    Attic insulation

    Angelo came and quoted the job, very professional. Then I dealt with Nick to book the date of the job, again very professional and personal. Today John and Andrew arrived right at 8.30 am as scheduled. Both gentlemen introduced themselves with a handshake and proceeded to explain what would happen. Tarps and plastic was layed down for protection and they proceeded to begin the task at hand. My wife was keeping them hydrated on such a brutally hot day. In the end they vacuumed the floor, packed and were on their way. John and Andrew from Barrie were the most professional, polite and nicest service people we have ever dealt with. Your company can't buy advertising as good as them. I will always suggest Great Northern Insulation to family and friends. Thanks again John and Gail.

    Attic insulation

    Great experience from start to finish. Matt Reesor was on time and was very professional and informative with regard to attic insulating. The team of installers also arrived as scheduled and did an excellent job. They too were knowledgeable and were very respectful of our home. Nothing was left uncleaned after the work. We are so happy with the work that was done. Our home is so much cooler. Highly recommend Great Northern Insulation!!!

    Attic Insulation

    I'm really happy with Great Northern Insulation. The team arrived on time, were courteous and friendly and did a fantastic job. They vacumed and cleaned everything including my stairs so you would never have known that they had been here. I also noticed a considerable temperature change in my upper level nd I'm so happy I chose this company to have this done. I should mention that this was done during an extreme heat wave so it could not have been easy for these guys.

    "worst insulation job I've ever seen"

    Had our basement crawl space insulated with fiberglass and thought we had a good experience (job took half the time they had estimated) until weeks later when my father (a foreman for a large contracting company for the past 20 years) showed up and took a look and said it was the "worst insulation job he's ever seen!" They simply put the insulation up without finishing the job with a vapour barrier (there is no tuck tape or other barrier around the top or bottom of the insulation) - essentially they just put a mold-making blanket in our basement he said. The receipt we later received claims there is a vapour barrier. I suppose only doing half the job explains why it took half the estimated time. I've called 3 times over the past 4 days and left messages but have yet to hear back from the company. I suppose my dad will end up finishing their shoddy job. Disgraceful!

    Insulation

    I had attic insulation done and the crew that came was very professional, they told me what to expect and what was done after they completed. The were respectful of our furniture whilst getting the hoses into the correct room. Once completed they left no trace that they were here, and cleaned everything. Great job!!
