I came home from work and noticed the house was a little cool. I soon realized that the furnace had stopped working. We'd only moved into the house about three months ago, and I wasn't sure who to call. Once again, thank goodness for Homestars. I searched under furnace repair and came up with Convertible Heating and Air Conditioning. It was after 5:00 pm when I phoned their 24-hour line. You have to leave a message. I'm sure that's how most repair places work after regular hours, but when you leave a message you don't know when someone will return your call. The house is getting colder and colder as you wait for someone phone you back. I thought I would give them an hour, and fortunately Convertible phoned back in about 30 minutes. They said a service tech would be over in about two hours. The tech phoned at about 90 minutes and said he was just on another call, but that he would be over as soon as he was finished. Raj the technician came just after 9:00 pm which I thought was pretty quick. He diagnosed the problem in about one minute. He said he would have to obtain a new electric motor the next day, but he did some fiddling and managed to get the furnace running again. It ran for another hour, and managed to warm up the house enough for us to spend the night. Raj had the part the following morning, and we arranged that he show up after I finished work to do the installation. He came over right at the appointed time and had it installed in half an hour. The service charge was very reasonable, and all the work was done as fast as possible. I highly recommend Convertible, and Raj in particular.

The service was performed in a timely and professional manner. Very satisfied with furnace and service provided by convertible heating and air conditioning. The contractor added no more then the price quoted. Will definitely recommend to all my friends.

Our furnace was red tagged and shut off by Enbridge the night of the ice storm. I left a message with Convertible the next day (a Sunday) and received prompt communication and had Sean at my house providing a quote before the days end - despite the treacherous conditions and his own lack of power. The installers showed up on time, worked quickly and cleaned up their mess. Our chimney liner was not installed due to weather conditions which they clearly explained and removed from our invoice. This was one of the most professional outfits we have dealt with since beginning our ground floor gut in May. We'll be calling them back to install air conditioning in the spring. Highly recommended!

I used this company last summer to install central AC. They were honest, explained options and very efficient. Ken was my technician and was excellent. Today, I came home and my furnace had "died" (-13 degrees outside). I called Convertible at 11 am on a Sunday and by 1 pm, Ken was here again and had fixed the problem. I was beyond appreciative as the temperature in my house had dropped over 10 degrees in a short period of time. Thanks to Convertible's promptness, I will not be an icicle.

Forty years of home ownership is a lot of service people...none like Convertible Air!!! Beside being courteous, punctual and neat, they are there when you need them! Hot in Mississauga JUNE 2012, 2 of the most competent, polite fellows get the job done. Again in June 2013, furnace needed. The only sign we had they were there was nice quietly running appliances. So we move north to Bolton, coldest day Nov 2013, who comes when we call? Convertible--the company we recommend to family and friends!! For us...there is no other!!!

Convertible installed a new Furnace, AC, Humidifier, and water heater. Marnie came to our house and went through the different options. I had an idea of what I wanted, and she respected my wishes and made sure that what she offered fit my needs. Convertible was the only contractor that suggested a side discharge A/C unit up on struts in between the houses. In a smaller Toronto home this saved us having to put a unit in our already small backyard. The whole recommendation really did take all our needs into consideration (and was also the lowest cost). Adam and team came and installed it all on two Saturdays (we had a lot to install, but he made sure we always had working heat when they left). Adam walked me through all the operation and how to install a new thermostat I was thinking of purchasing (his instructions were spot on). He also gave me his cell number and I've called him twice with questions, and he gave me great help both times (at no cost). The installation team was very respectful towards me, and my family and was respectful of our property.
