    High efficiency gas boiler and water heater

    I got 5 quotes, Max being the 5th. He quoted the exact models that everyone else quoted and when I asked his opinion he recommend an option that was less expensive that what I asked for - and he had the best prices for every option! He talked through the long term maintenance that no one else mentioned and made sense of the whole process. During installation he stayed late to ensure that I had heat and was comfortable before he left for the night. Overall...great experience!

    Repair to a boiler

    I came home last Thursday night to a cold house. The next morning my husband checked it and thought the thermocouple needed to be replaced because the pilot light wouldn't stay lit. I looked up HVAC repair on Homestars and found that AireMax had gotten great reviews so I called him at 8 a.m. and he told me he could be there at 1p.m. He arrived on time and was able to repair the thermocouple after going out to purchase the part. Max was friendly and helpful and got the boiler going in a reasonable amount of time and for a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend him to others and I would call him again if necessary!

    Furnace repair

    My furnace that was repaired just one year ago started to make strange noise and, while was working, didn't produce enough heat. I needed a technician with some good reviews. That's how I found this site and this technician. I called Max on Friday evening just to get quote. He was able to visit my house within one hour and diagnose the problem very quickly. Since the repair didn't require any spare parts, Max was able to fix the problem right away. I am impressed with such a quick and professional service.

    FURNACE INSTALLATION

    I WAS SHOPPING AROUND FOR HEATING TECHNICIAN TO INSTALL A HIGH EFFICIENCY FURNACE BEFORE THE GOVERNMENT ECOENERGY PROGRAM ENDS.I CALLED SEVERAL COMPANIES FROM FLYERS FOUND IN MY MAILBOX,BUT WAS TOLD THAT THEY WILL CALL ME LATER OR THE NEXT DAY.I ALSO CALLED "AIRE MAX" AND SPOKE TO A GENTLEMAN CALLED MAX WHO SAID HE COULD DROP BY IN 4 HOURS THE SAME DAY.HE CAME BY AND INSPECTED MY OLD FURNACE WHICH HE DETERMINED TO BE OVER 25 YEARS OLD AND HE LAUGHED SAYING THIS IS A "GAS GUZZLER".HE THEN DISCUSSED THE REQUIRED SIZE FURNACE FOR MY HOUSE AND RECOMMENEDED A "69,000 BTU GOODMAN TYPE" FURNACE WITH A 95% AFUE RATING.WE THEN TALKED ABOUT THE PRICE AND WE AGREED ON A FIGURE WHICH INCLUDED THE ENERGY AUDITOR'S INSPECTION FEE/FILTER/HUMIDIFIER/CHIMNEY LINER/PROGRAMMABLE THERMOSTAT.INSPECTION WAS DONE ON NOV.29TH.2011 AND WORK STARTED ON NOV 30TH. IT TOOK 2 DAYS TO FINISH THE JOB.ON THE LAST DAY MAX TREATED ME TO A "PIZZA DINNER".AT THE END OF THE JOB, THE OLD FURNACE AND ALL DEBRIS WERE REMOVED AND MY PLACE WAS WAS LEFT VERY CLEAN.WHENEVER MAX WANTED ACCESS TO THE INSIDE OF MY HOUSE, HE ALWAYS TOOK HIS SHOES OFF. I AM A SENIOR AND I AM VERY PARTICULAR. I WILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND "AIRE MAX SERVICES" TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR GOOD JOB..THANKS MAX

    Furnace repair

    Furnace stopped working overnight. called several places on saturday morning (including some of the top rated on homestars) and they were either unavailable to come until monday or didn't even call back. came across Aire Max, and Max (owner) said he could come by sat evening at 8:00pm. He quickly identified the problem, gave a couple of options to consider and was able to order and complete the job by Monday (as supplier was unavailable on Sunday). Max performed the job quickly and effectively and also took the time to repair a few other problems he noticed with the set up of the drainage hose for the furnace and A/C (at no extra cost). Max also followed up with a phone call the day after the repair to ensure that everything was working. I felt that Max took the time to personally ensure that he has completed the job my satisfaction, which i don't think you would get from the bigger companies out there. Thanks Max!

    Trane Furnace purchase and installation

    I can't tell you how happy I am with the job that Max from Aire Max did for me. After dealing with a totally incompetent, ill informed salesman at Direct Energy, I came across Max's # from the Homestar website. Max made an extra effort to meet with me at 10:30 that night, right after I finished work. He was very prepared, knowledgeable and easy going. The price he quoted for my furnace was more than $800 less than Direct Energy. Within a day and a half right on schedule, I had the home audit done and the start of the furnace installion. I just want everyone to know that this is the place to call if you are looking for a furnace or AC purchase. I've already recommended three of my coworkers to Aire Max and will continue to spread the word. Thanks Max, my home is toasty warm again.

    Repair furnace that had stopped working

    I woke up to discover my furnace was not working and would not start up. I called Max and he came two hours later, exactly when promised. He talked me through what he was doing as he inspected the furnace and quickly determined the problem. It was possible that a replacement part would be needed, but eventually the problem was fixed without any being required. All in all, I was very pleased that the problem was fixed quickly and honestly.

    Replace Gas Furnace

    Max is great! We have nothing but great things to say about Aire Max. Max (owner of Aire Max), as an independent contractor and family man with his own business, gave us great personal care and attention. We woke up Friday morning with no heat. After calling a few people, we found him on Homestars and liked the ratings and reviews he got. We phoned him Friday night and he came to look at our problem the very next day. We were going to go with a bigger guy, the big red box store or big blue wishbook catalog company, to get a new furnace and install it, but after meeting Max, we had a feeling we were in good hands ... and we were right. He quoted us at $3300 (not including the 2nd $150 final energy efficiency inspection that we will do in a month so we can get all the energy rebates) … between $500-$1000 less than the bigger companies, as Max has lower overhead. He had an inspector lined up for Monday morning and started the work that same Monday morning. We have a 1200 sq. ft. house, so he recommended the new model of the smaller Keep-Rite 96% efficiency furnace (most are 95%) because a lot of the other furnaces are either end of life discontinued or are of lower quality. He told us that the Keep-Rite sometimes is just a bit more expensive to service, but the quality is better than the others ... we are quite happy with what we had installed. Max installed a new chimney liner, added hot water piping and exhaust to through the wall to the driveway (Max explained to us that the high efficiency furnaces have a few drops of water as a by-product of how they work ... which we confirmed with some other experts), turned on the gas and cleaned up after himself. He walked us through the Federal and Provincial energy rebates. For example one of the many rebates we got was a $790 rebate government energy rebate for work done by smaller independent companies (there is an approx. $1100 equiv. rebate if work is done by a larger company, but then we would have had to pay $500+ extra for the overall work by going with a bigger company). We entrusted Max and Max Aire with the warmth, safety and comfort of our family and you should too. Thanks again Max. Cheers! - RJ

    Furnace repair

    Max was very helpful. We bought our furnace two years ago. After inviting two other furnace repair people in the house to fix the furnace, we were short on money but still left with the problem: leaking gas and a loud electrical noise in the furnace. When we called Max, the first thing he said was "leaking gas is dangerous! have your gas turned off!" We had called numerous people and they didn't even return our calls to answer this potentially dangerous situation. Max got here the very next morning, diagnosed the problem, and corrected it swiftly. He also spotted a number of other problems with the furnace which were causing a leak and a loud electrical noise. I am so grateful for Homestars, because that is where we found him. I am also very grateful for Max for being so friendly, kind, honest and competent, unlike the two other furnace people we had called before him the very same week.

    Air Balancing

    We had issue with air flow in the house .Couple of register didn't have any air flow.I call Aire Max heating&cooling and after one hour they came and found that what was the problem,it was fixed and every where in the house is warm now.also I had problem with humidifier that I install by myself,Max found that problem too and now we have warm and humidity is in comfort range in the house.we highly recommend this company to friend and family.
