    Upstairs painting

    Great painting company! They completed the job in one day (3 bedrooms, 2 washrooms, laundry room and stairwell) and everything was done exceptionally well. Painters were professional and very tidy. Would gladly hire them again! Many thanks!

    Everything was excellently executed.

    Five Star Painting crew were highly professional. The company changed wallpaper, touched up walls, and repainted walls and ceilings. Everything was excellently executed. I can definitely recommend the company!

    Extremely satisfied

    Not for the first time, I am extremely satisfied with the execution of all agreed work, the punctuality, the service and the friendliness of the employees. I'll be happy to approach the Five Star Painting again next time.

    Outstanding results.

    2 Great Experiences.

    We have had 2 great experiences with the Five Star Painting crew. The work painting the exterior of our house (2020) and then the garage (2022) was top notch and affordable, plus the service was exceptional. In particular, they are very responsive and accommodating to our work. When we have another project, we will definitely call them again.

    Sohail (the owner ) is the best in the business. His crew did my house and my office and both turned out superb. He is very knowledgeable, courteous to deal with, punctual, and honest. The workmanship is consistently good for both interior and exterior jobs. Highly recommended!

    Always on Time.

    This is the second time I've hired Five Star Painting. The first time, about 11 months ago, they painted our entire condo, with the exception of the rooms they painted this time around. The painters were always on time, cleaned up, and very considerate of our needs.

    Interior Painting.

    Excellent

    Five Star Painting recently painted the walls in my kitchen, dining area, living room and hallways. They did an excellent job. They were fast and left everything in great condition. The owner, Sohail came out and gave me a quote within a few days of contacting him.

    Interior Painting or Staining
    Paint used for the staircase railing/spindles was not the right type for such a high-wear area (Sherwin William rep later confirmed my suspicion). After 2 months you could use finger nail on a spindle and paint easily came off. At this point it should be fully cured. __________________________________________________________ Update 3/1/23 - Painting company re-visited house and re-painted staircase railing/spindles with a different kind of paint. It has been several months since that time and results are much better (paint coating is much more durable and damage resistant). Issue appears to be resolved.

    For Staircases we have historically used Oil based Products. We were introduced to a zero VOC product, by our paint company, for staircases. As we have our customers' long term health in mind, we are always very keen on useing VOC free products. At this time all of our products used for walls, trims, and ceilings are ZERO VOC certified. We used the new product for Brad: unfortunately, the new product has not provided the desired adhesion; although, it seem to perform well in our internal trials. We typically wait for four weeks after painting for the product to cure fully. Upon current examination, we are not satisfied with the final result and have decided to repaint the staircase with the our traditional product. We are planning to arrange the repaint within the month of Feb and have worked out all details with Brad and his wife in this regard. We removed Brad's staircase carpet for him complimentarily at no charge. Upon the removal of carpet, some areas were exposed along the wall that required plastering. This was not included in the scope of work, nor had we charged for it. Plastering requires multiple visits, needs to be planned accordingly, and could have been undertaken upon request as additional work. This was not explained to Brad properly by our foreman on site. Brad also did not call me to discuss the matter either at the time that the painting was happening. Now that I have met Brad, I will take care of the matter to his satisfaction.
