We had Serge come and quote on new windows and side door, and before even asking to look at what would be done, he asked to sit down and started boasting that he would beat anyone on price, which he did. Not the best first impression, but we let it slide.
We had read numerous reviews about Ecotech, and decided to give it a go because the price was so good.
Once we placed the order, we then had to pursue customer service to follow up on the status and proposed installation date. Not once were we contacted without initiating the need for a response. Customer service had been commented on by others, and now we know why. The customer service department are useless, and do not respond.
Eventually we got the date confirmed and the go ahead for the installation.
Momo and his sidekick were the installers. Two extremely hard working guys that got the job done on one of the hottest days of the year. These guys just got on with it, despite the difficulties of heat and the issues of the house. 10 out of 10 for that. Momo did inform us that due to the heat, the caulking around the windows would shrink and that he would be back in cooler weather to re-caulk these areas. We are still waiting and are once again getting no response from customer service! Unfortunately when the installers left, we did notice that the attention to detail was lacking, paint ripped off the wall in places, and nails, screws, shards of wood and glass in the grass where my kids play. Surely when removing old windows and frames, lay an old blanket down so prevent this happening!?
Again, we put it down to getting what you paid for.
From a window perspective, we are very happy with the windows and the look. We are noticing the difference in the house and not being able to hear outside noises anymore.
I would like to grade Ecotech higher, but at this time I am reluctant as the job is not finished, and that's coming from the installer telling me he would be back.
Ecotech really could be a good company for people on a budget, the biggest let down is the customer service department who don't care about customers, and don't know what service means.
