I contracted Fieldmasters to install artificial turf in my back yard in June 2015. We have a lot of large trees, 2 young children and a dog and were having a difficult time growing grass and felt artificial grass would be the perfect solution. The Fieldmasters team was great. From the initial quotation to the installation, everything went smooth and as promised. I highly recommend Fieldmasters. Thomas, North York

An utter disappointment from installation on. For what they called a small job...we had 4 days of little hustle, a large clean up job that we had to do,equipment left here that stayed for 2 weeks with no one coming by to reclaim. Josh Leiff came by to inspect after we called with concerns and he suggested waiting for spring to assess all issues. Spring came and now it is September and he will not take our calls nor emails nor texts nor return our requests for him to deal with things. Promised after accidentally answering phone to send his head guy by that day but of course that didn't happen. Worst contractor that we have ever had.....does not honour any promises nor deal with problems....have been totally duped and fooled by this person....do not deal with this company.....hard to believe he stays in business....does not deserve any business

In early 2014 I awarded to this company a contract for some interlock work in the backyard, driveway and path to the front entrance. Despite the assurance of the sales person who promised to be a "dedicated manager every step with the project" wrong material was delivered and at the wrong phase of the work. This deficiency resulted in excessive stone cutting, time delays and nuisance with dust everywhere. Crew was not too bad but worked on a very unpredictable schedule. After winter 2014/15 I found uneven settlements in the backyard and in the driveway. The step to the front door settled in a way that requires a complete rebuild. So far, rather disappointing results and I would not give them more than two starts for it. However, the worst came when I contacted Josh (the owner) this spring and ask him to make necessary repair as the contract clearly states "two year warranty". Response was shocking. In the beginning almost impossible to contact him, later a complete silence. When, on rare occasions I was able to reach him he would not commit to anything and was rather condescending about the whole issue. Obviously, he completely ignores his contractual obligation and disclaims the ownership of this problem. That I consider the major deficiency of this company. For this I cannot give them but zero stars as an overall mark. As I doubt they can even do this work properly I am considering to hire a reputable and experienced contractor to do the repair. If you value your peace of mind, money and time do not deal with this company. BE CAREFUL. YOUR CONTRACT WITH FIELDMASTERS MAY BECOME JUST A WORTHLESS PIECE OF PAPER.

Superb! Professional! Reliable! I shopped around before choosing an installer and did not choose the cheapest quote. The Lief brothers and their entire team of installers were professional, courteous and eager to answer any questions we had. We are thrilled with the result and would highly recommend them to anyone without any hesitation at all.

We went with Josh because of the difference in the artificial turf he was selling vs other types and because he came off as being very personable. However, after the contract was signed with Josh we had to keep on pestering him to get the job done. We signed in early 2014 and wanted the job done before the end of the summer. As summer was approaching we contacted him to get a timeline as to when the work would commence and be completed. We sent numerous emails, texts and called him numerous times with Josh seeming to ignore most of them. Eventually when he did contact us we would get what seemed to be excuse after excuse. To be fair he did have personal matters that cut into company operations and his available time, but we feel we tried to work with him & gave him the time he needed. As for the work we agree that the workers would get to the job late and start late, but apparently they were coming from as far away as the Barrie area. They seemed to work hard and the crew leader was approachable and worked to ensure we were happy. However, having said that we would appreciated them listening a little more to what we wanted as we felt we had to compromise on a couple of things based on their ideas of how those things should be done. In addition, there seems to be one small area where the workers put s small piece of turf that appears to run the against the grain of the rest of the turf. In the end I would not recommend the this company due to communication issues - at one time I believed we were out the deposit or at the very least I was going to demand our deposit back. My better half convinced me to be persistent and not push the matter. In the end the work got done. The quality of the product and the work are not the deciding factors in not recommending the company. Based solely on the product and the work done I would neither recommend or not recommend the company.

I agree with the last reviewer on this site. DO NOT use Fieldmasters. The owner ignores/does not respond to communication. I had artificial turf installed poorly by Josh and his team and have been fighting for over a year and a half with excuse after excuse as to why it isn't done. Lines are choppy, turf not tacked down, seams are lifting and visible, sand not laid etc. They also helped themselves to my personal tools and left them damaged without replacing the cost. Look online for other reviews on Lieff Inc and you will find a trend. He promised if I removed the last poor review this past March, he would fix the poor installation job. As u can see, that was in mid March, it is now late October (scroll through reviews to see). They whipped through the initial job in April 2013, it later began to rain and they never returned despite full payment. I question how many of the positive reviews are real. DO YOUR RESEARCH. USE A TRUSTWORTHY COMPANY.

While the finished product appears to be correct, dealing with the owner and his work crew has been nothing but a nightmare. The crews never showed up on time, often not starting the day until noon or later. They spent most of their time on a smoke break or laying on my deck versus working which resulted in a slow down in the time line of work. When they claimed to be finished we discovered a number of unfinished areas (untacked down turf, garage left around, drainage issues) they repaired most of the issues, but the patio they laid is still yet to be finished and this job was started 3 months ago. I could not in good conscience recommend a company that is this unreliable. The person who comes out and quotes is fantastic but from there you deal with the owner and I find him to be condescending, conceited and impossible to deal with. Pease be careful.

I got several estimates for a putting green, and I liked this company best, I thought they had a good product and decided to go with them, I had a timeline for them to install it and everything was great. They came to install on the Saturday and said they would be at my home in the morning, they arrived after 2pm. They did finish the job that day, it was late and dark when they finished, The green looks great and I was pleased with this.

Great guys to deal with from start to finish. Project was done in one day and the backyard looks great. Kids love it and there is no mess!! Highly recommended for your turf needs!!

WOW!!! Josh was outstanding to deal with; he was knowledgeable and explained the whole process. On top of that he was very accommodating to get the job done as soon as possible. Constantly communicated with an update and responded very quickly. Ryan, the head installer was also very pleasant to talk to as he explained the whole installation to me and how to take care of my new lawn, which is basically just rake the leaves to keep it clean, . My backyard looks amazing. I love the product. If I could give Josh 11 stars I would. I will recommend Josh and his team to anyone wanting to have it installed.
