    Work shed

    Once again, Action Home Services have EXCEEDED our expectations! John's team of Shilin, Arthur, Renat and his crew, have delivered us an exceptional work shed, as we expected! The workmanship, craftmanship attention to detail and the design by Shilin, put a smile on our faces, each time we look at our shed. I highly recommend Action Home Services, simply put, it's truly a pleasure working with John and his team, you will not be disappointed! Thank you everyone!

    Flagstone and concrete work on our courtyard

    Action Homes did a fantastic job rehabilitating our crumbling front stairs and courtyard. There recommended a great course of action which was cost effective, strong structurally and aesthetically pleasing. They job was completed on time and on budget and they were a highly responsive and professional organization to work with. Highly recommended.

    Poor experience with landscaping and interlock

    We were very disappointed with the quality control and professionalism from AHS. We found that they didnt anticipate or adapt to any issues - most significantly that they failed to advise us that we needed a permit for driveway work. This led a shutdown from the city and several month delay while we had to get the correct permits. Once the permit was issued at the start of July, AHS demonstrated no urgency in finishing the project and took until last week in mid-November to have the final touches completed. Due to our frustrations with AHS, we never even pursued the trees and softscaping that we had put together with their designers, and missed an entire growing season as a result of their delays. We also had issues with AHS project manager presenting the work to us as completed with significant and obvious deficiencies. I can surmise that he never inspected his crews work or had inspected it but was okay with the subpar results. Among the obvious deficiencies were lacking backfill around drains, exposed clay without river rock coverage in a side area, irrigation heads sticking up well above grade, irrigation lines not being buried, irrigation lines being left in the middle of a garden bed where trees are to be planted, and forgetting about putting down mulch (pictures all attached) We ended up narrowing the scope of our job and will be getting lighting and planting done through other avenues as AHS did not demonstrate any ability to provide a properly finished and polished project. Anyone hiring AHS should expect to have to act as a project manager themselves; I found I had to extensively research the requirements of each facet of our landscaping and inspect every step of the project as our AHS project manager did not do so himself.

    Asphalt Driveway Extension

    AHS was very easy to work with and completed the work very well and in a timely manner. I would 100% recommend their work!

    Interlock walkway and patio installation

    Never came back to address quality concerns that I raised. I was disappointed to have to chase for results.

    Backyard landscape, front porch replacement

    We had to fix the landscape so water moves away and doesn't collect at the house's foundation. Concrete back and side porch was put in, along with french drain and pea gravel walkway to solve the water retention issue. The shrubs in the railway ties hadn't been maintained and had to be replaced by a new retaining wall; we're setup nicely for next years planting. The front porch and step were falling apart and had to be replaced. Our stone porch looks awesome; envy of our neighbours. The asphalt driveway was replaced with Unilock. Put in new gates. All completed in less than four weeks; the crew was onsite every day; sometimes long days to get the job done right. Kin is quick with the design and he totally understand what I wanted; He provided unifying design for all of the above. Joe is awesome, always around to answer questions and quick to resolve issues. The crew was great; hard working; lots of attention to details; perfectionist in laying down the stones. This Company definitely has the people with knowledge and skills, and equipment for an amazing landscape construction project.

    Retaining Wall, Interlock Walkway, & Landscaping

    We had AHS contracted to design and build a new retaining wall, walkway, driveway, railings, and to landscape my front yard (artificial turf, custom drainage grate, landscape lighting, etc.). The entire AHS team from start to finish was a pleasure to work with. Eugene/Simon worked with me to scope the best project within our budget. Kin worked his magic in designing the retaining wall and front yard concept that aligned with everything we wanted and more (and all within budget). Rinat, Enrique, and his team executed the project and were fully transparent with the work they needed to do. The quality of their work and professionalism is by far the best we've experienced. We were throughly impressed at their work ethic, attention to detail, and every single day they cleaned the job site and my neighbours areas from construction dust etc. Once the project was completed they were easily reachable for follow up and support. I highly recommend AHS and will definitely hire them again for future projects!

    Drainage installation w/ regrading & interlock re-install

    Hired AHS to install a drainage system around the perimeter of our property to address water pooling by the foundation and buckling of interlocking stone along our side way. Was very impressed by their thorough evaluation and analysis of the situation. Ross, Joe and Anton especially were a real pleasure to work with and patiently addressed our many questions with clear explanations that demonstrated a sincere knowledge of what needed to be done, and the skill and experience to get it done right. We appreciated how careful and meticulous Anton and his team worked while on site and Joe's guidance and openness to collaborative problem solving. We were in excellent hands throughout. Highly recommend.

    Patio work

    Working with Kin, Rinat, Igor and Team were great. From starting the design, to the completion everyone was was very knowledgeable and helpful. They helped us get our patio work completed from the front to the back in a weeks time. Igor and team did a great job communicating with Rinat to let us know when we needed to make adjustments. The work they did was clean and meticulous. Would highly recommend them and will be having them come back to do more work.
