From start to finish, the team at Action Home Services was a pleasure to work with for updating our small, urban, backyard space. They are responsive, professional, transparent, and timely. Excellent communication! The design and landscaping teams listened to our needs, worked within our existing space constraints, and offered us practical recommendations. In our case, we needed a low-maintenance, durable surface that could handle a large dog that tends to dig as well as the general traffic of an active family. We decided on artificial grass, interlocking pavers, and curbing for plant beds to plant in the spring. Work was completed as promised within the expected timeframe even with a couple days of freezing rain and supply delays. We were very pleased with the smoothness of the experience, rapid responses and quality of execution. Before and after photos included.

It has been a pleasure working along with John and his project management team all throughout our rather extensive backyard project. Any worker that came was hard working, polite, respectful, clean and open to fixing or adjusting anything that we asked them to do. This project was a HUGE investment for us and we have no regrets having this completed by John and the AHS team.

One of the easiest contractors to deal with from the first phone call to the final payment. Responsive to initial request for quotation and promptly sent representative to estimate the job and arrange for designer to work with me on the project. Kin was wonderful to work with and had a great vision for the backyard and worked with me on adjustments that perfectly suited my taste and requirements. The team worked tirelessly under very difficult conditions to infill and decommission a huge 80s era swimming pool and all the equipment (heater, pump, gas lines), installing new paving, sod, retaining wall, fence and garden planting. The project managers were very knowledgeable and gave good advice regarding what was feasible regarding the newly infilled area (settling, shifting) and Kin worked along those limitations to come up with a beautiful design. The workers showed up every day as scheduled and were courteous and professional from start to finish. I really appreciated how they went above and beyond to overcome some significant challenges they encountered on site, including huge tree roots, thorns, and wasps. Ron was very responsive to any concerns raised during the project and attended on site to resolve any issues. The finished job was beautiful beyond what I imagined and we received so many compliments. I highly recommend this company.

I've been planning landscaping project on my property since 2020 and ended up conducting comprehensive market, material and installation practices study prior to awarding the job to AHS. I am a technical person and studied Unilock installation manuals to make sure I understand all the stages of interlocking project and know the best practices starting from excavation through polymeric sand installation. Hiring AHS was a great decision since these guys do know what they are doing and unlike some other companies on the market doing things in the right way. Not pretending they are doing things right, but actually doing them right. AHS is Unilock Authorized Contractor which is not just the name but serious commitment. They are extremely client focused and spare no effort to ensure client satisfaction. First of all, they are offering solid design services which I really enjoyed going through with Kin (designer) and Rinat (project manager). They are not cutting corners when it comes to material selection. Interlocking stones never look the same in the real life as they do in catalogue and AHS provides full support to the clients with obtaining live samples to review. It was a pleasure working with two AHS foremen who were managing my project on the ground and performing all the critical tasks themselves - Konstantin and Aleksandr. My project required a lot of planning due to the challenges with grading - there is quite significant slope on my property left to right, existing concrete slab shed foundation at the end and quite noticeable drainage problems due to terrible clay soils (common issue in GTA) and the way city forced our subdivision to be built with zero catch basins. Konstantin and Aleksandr worked around all of them with excellent results - they came up with great looking basement window well design and graded backyard patio to ensure proper drainage while keeping overall project aesthetics great. Hidden retaining wall at the back entrance and buried downspout connectors all contributed to clean and functional design. AHS crew has immense amount of knowledge in landscaping. This helped them to make the best use of Unilock materials for my project and make things work and look right despite of the known residential construction quality in Canada - when no right angle is actually 90° and nothing is levelled as it should be by a builder. AHS also helped a lot dealing with inconsistency in Unilock materials quality. Despite of Unilock reputation, dealing with significant color variation between different material batches as well as quite a few materials quality issues has been handled by AHS team in a very efficient way. I am totally satisfied with the end result and trust that AHS 5 years warranty is based on their confidence in construction techniques they are using. AHS also built the new garden gate for me which is the best garden gate in the whole neighborhood - very tight tolerances, minimum gaps and customized design to ensure minimum gap between interlock and gate (helps keeping rabbits away from the back yard garden). I totally recommend them as landscaping contractor and will definitely hire them for the next landscaping project of mine.

We contacted Unilock for them to recommend a Contractor who would be able to use a Unilock Cleaning product to remove some excess concrete marks on our back Patio. In addition we needed the Front and Side Walkways Powerwashed and Polymetric Sand. AHS was the Company they contacted for us. Dmytro did an excellent job of first estimating then Managing our Project. There could be no guarantee that the concrete marks could be removed as they had been there for over a year. Brandon also did an excellent job of Powerwashing the Interlocking. He worked tirelessly Powerwashing with great skill, attention to detail and determination. The Unilock Cleaner removed some excess concrete but we had left it too long before cleaning. Brandon and a colleague applied the Polymetric Sand carefully and we are very pleased with the results. The Interlocking is over 25 years old but the front and side walkways look like new now. The back Patio is much improved. Ross came by to review and thinks there may still be a way to remove some more of the excess concrete marks. He will investigate. We are delighted with the strong work ethic, ability, knowledge and perseverance of Dmytro, Brandon and Ross. We look forward to continue working with them to maintain our Interlocking. We highly recommend AHS and Dmytro, Brandon and Ross for all of your Interlocking requirements.

I hired AHS to remove/replace polymeric sand and seal cobble stones surrounding our pool and back entrance, and interlocking on our driveway and front entrance. AHS came in after a previous contractor had made an abysmal attempt at the job. The AHS team was professional, courteous, communicated well and completed an excellent job in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to use AHS services again.
