    Gas BBQ Hook Up

GasGuys were great to deal with. They were prompt, friendly and knowledgable. They not only hooked up the natural gas BBQ, but were able to troubleshoot other issues with the BBQ and fully explain the features we were not aware of. I strongly recommend them to anyone.

    Answer from pro:

Hey George, thank you for taking the time to write us an excellent review! I like to know that when I leave a customer's home, they are fully aware of all the features of their appliances and can use them to their maximum potential. Thanks again and enjoy your new home and BBQ! George

Gas connection for my gas range, gas BBQ and gas dryer

George and his father Bill did an excellent job hooking up gas lines for my stove, BBQ and dryer. The work performed was excellent! George explained all the work he had done and also explained how to operate all the new appliances he connected. Even though, he spent more time then he expected on a Saturday, he never rushed the job, he took his time and made sure everything worked properly. Not once did he seem like he was in a rush. I would definitely be calling George again for future gas connection needs.

Install gas line and hook up Viking Range

GasGuys.ca was extremely friendly and professional, and accommodated our full-time work schedule by starting at 5:30pm. They stayed until the job was complete, and made sure to walk us through how to use our new stove. They were forthright about all costs beforehand (our installation was more expensive because we have a 48" range) and they were really knowledgeable. My rating of 4/5 on satisfaction is because while they were drilling through our tile in order to run the gas line, they realized they couldn't get through to the other side (hitting brick or a joist or something) and had to drill a second hole through our brand new tile floor, which of course we did not appreciate. They explained that they weren't able to get precise measurements due to the house being askew, were quite apologetic about the hole, and even went out right away to buy grout of a similar colour and patched it up. So we do appreciate that, and since the grout patch is hidden underneath the range, I would give a 4.5/5 if I could, but I still feel extra care could have been taken (measure twice cut once) to only drill one hole into our newly-laid tile. Despite this small thing, I would absolutely hire these guys again, as we still need to run the gas line out to our BBQ at some point. We have dealt with A LOT of various types of tradespeople over the years, and most of them aren't as friendly, professional and honest as GasGuys.ca

Hey Yvonne, thanks for the great review. I will admit, getting through to your basement proved to be more challenging than most jobs. I prefer to put the gas line as far to the back to the wall as possible to minimize the gap behind the range. In your situation, this brought us into the brick wall in your basement. When opening the 2nd hole, we were able to position it in a way that we can still get the range flush against the back wall by using a longer flexible connector. Your range is quite the piece of art though. Overall i am glad you are satisfied with our work and will contact GasGuys.ca to run your BBQ line. Thanks again, George

Installation of gas line for stove

George installed the gas line to our kitchen and hooked up our stove. The work was done very well, he was responsive in setting up the appointment, and was on time! Price was very reasonable as well. He also had all the additional components that were not delivered with the stove to get it hooked up already which saved time.

Upgraded Gas Pipes to support a new gas range

I bought a new gas range that needed a larger gas pipe than I had and the gas installer red tagged my pipes. I did not like that man so I looked elsewhere to hire someone to change the existing pipes. I found George on Homestars and sent him some photos of my issue. While he was doing work in my area, he popped over to my place to take a look in person. George is very nice and easy to talk to. He respected my many questions and was very responsive on email and telephone. When I decide to hire a contractor, I like to know I can get in contact with them and many contractors are difficult to communicate with. Anyhow, his work was quick, clean and thorough. I recommend him.

    Answer from pro:

Hey Daniel and thank you for the great review! I am glad I was able to assist you with this red tag. The code book has been written based on many years of proven unsafe situations and it is our responsibility as Gas Technicians to enforce them. It is never an easy or desirable thing to do however everyone has a different approach. Ultimately I am glad everything is now up to code and correct. Thank you again for your business, George

Gas line for new gas stove

George and his dad were fantastic! Great with my kids! Confident, and all about the customer. Being available in the evening allowed us to not have to take time away from work to he home. Extremely flexible with scheduling. Had to cancel at the last minute on original appointment as our new gas stove arrived damaged. Would absolutely recommend George to anyone. Showed me how to work my stove before leaving my home!

Gas Fireplace repair and BBQ quick connect setup

George from GasGuys.ca was excellent and lived up to his online reputation. He was very prompt with his service delivery (offering to work on weeknights and weekends), friendly and offered very fair pricing. He did a great job with replacing the quick connect natural gas outlet for our BBQ. Moreover, he was able to diagnose an obscure issue with the limit switch on our gas fireplace. He had to order a specialized part to replace the switch, and he provided regular status updates. George is also very transparent with his practices, offering very detailed descriptions of his work. I Highly recommend.

    Answer from pro:

Hey Sean, thanks for the great review! I am glad we were able to connect your BBQ and rectify the problem with your fireplace. Sometimes tracking down parts is the longest part of the process, especially when a unit has been discontinued. Thank you again for your business and the great review!, George
