Paving the driveway
Anonymous user 10/11/2025 - 9:55 AM
My neighbours and I share an island between our driveway. If I decide to do my half to extend my driveway with asphalt. Would I be able to do that just on my half. I don’t want to join our drive way together. Would that be ok?

Yes, you can pave just your half of the shared area as long as you stay within your property line and don’t affect your neighbor’s side. Make sure there’s a clear boundary between both driveways and that drainage and access aren’t impacted. It’s also courteous to inform your neighbor before starting the work.
