Extended labour warranty with Trane furnace installation

The manufacturer doesn't cover the labour warranty. That comes from the installing company. It varies depending on who installed the furnace.

Trane provides a 10-year parts warranty when the furnace is properly registered. Trane does not provide a labour warranty. Any 10-year labour warranty would be provided by the installation company, not Trane. Most companies offer an in-house labour warranty, which covers labour as long as that company remains in business. If the installing company were to close, that labour warranty would no longer be valid. Some reputable companies go a step further and insure the labour warranty through a third-party provider and issue a certificate. This protects the labour warranty even if the original installation company is no longer operating.
