Electric furnace

Anonymous user 19/01/2026 - 2:22 PM

My gas furnace heat exchanger apparently has a crack and I have to replace it or the furnace. I would like to know if electric furnace is an option.

Are you a pro and able to answer this question?

Unfortunately we would have to use a gas furnace however you may set up a heat pump to work in accordance with the furnace so you reduce your gas carbon footprint.

You can install another high efficient gas furnace, an electric furnace for sure, but may need electrical panel upgrade, or can go fully electric with an air handler and matching heat pump system. All are doable in your situation.
