Is it easy to replace the weatherstripping on my garage door?
Danielle Douville 27/05/2026 - 10:40 AM
The weather stripping on the bottom of my garage door is old (original to the garage door I think) and over time it has worn away and rodents have chewed a hole in it for access to the garage. Is it fairly easy and straightforward to replace it myself? Also the top weatherstripping has come loose and needs to be repaired and or replaced. Looking for any pro tips or advice (do's and don'ts)

Yes you can but it's tricky depending on type and age of the garage door

Garage door bottom weather stripping is easy with a drill and proper screws. Home Depot sells white, brown and black weather stripping 4' pieces for Garage doors
