  • I started TeiJi Carpentry over 3 years ago and am still taking clients at this time. I do have a full time renovation job and am just looking to fill my weekends for now. I prefer small jobs but if you can be flexible with your timeline I will definitely consider larger jobs. If I submit a proposal its because I am confident I have the required skillset to complete the job in a timely manner. If I dont take your request please know its because I either dont feel I have the required skills or the job is too large/too far for me to take on at the current moment but I do see every request. I am a journeyman carpenter of the last 20 years focusing on a wide variety of skills mostly in the finishing/drywall, restoration and renovation sectors. If any repairs are needed whether its from water/fire damage, rough housing, weather, aged materials, pets, moving damage or just in need if a fresh look, I can repair it back to new. I have most of my 20 year experience in baseboard and casing, painting, drywall, mud and tape, insulation, framing, furniture builds, decks and fences, laminate flooring and much more. Just ask. I can give quotes or do an hourly rate. My hourly rate is $45. My minimum for a job is $100. Just so you know homestars charges and average of between $50 - $80 everytime we are shortlisted so this minimum just helps make sure im not working for free. I now have an employee who works with me on jobs at times. If you are looking for a little leeway cost wise he works for $30 per hour. He doesn't have the same skilset but please inquire and I will let you know what he can accomplish for you. He is adept at furniture builds, painting etc. I do quality work and because I have very little overhead I can do it for about half the price of a company. If you hired a renovation company Im the guy that they send to complete the work. Give me a text/call/email and let me be your personal carpenter. Bryan R TeiJi Carpentry

What to ask a Kamloops upholsterer before hiring?

Wondering how to choose an upholsterer in Kamloops? These questions can help you find the right match for your project.

Can I see examples of your previous upholstery projects?

Viewing photos or portfolios, often available directly on a Kamloops upholsterer’s HomeStars profile, helps you assess their craftsmanship, stitching quality, fabric alignment, and overall attention to detail. Seeing past work also shows whether their style and skill level match the look you want for your furniture.

What fabrics do you recommend for my piece?

The right upholsterer in Kamloops will guide you through fabric durability, maintenance needs, and suitability for everyday use. They can also explain how different materials affect the final look, feel, and cost, helping you choose the best option for your home and lifestyle.

How long will the project take from start to finish?

Timelines vary based on fabric availability, current workload, and the complexity of the job. Getting a clear estimate helps you plan around pickup, delivery, and any time you’ll be without the furniture.

How do you handle unexpected issues discovered during the project?

Sometimes hidden damage, like broken springs or internal wear, only becomes visible once the old fabric is removed. Ask your Kamloops upholsterer how they communicate these findings, what additional costs might look like, and whether they require approval before proceeding.
