  • Well, Folks, I've tried to retire but the phone keeps ringing. I wanted to just throw it away, but when their your friends calling, who started out being clients, how can I turn them down? I no longer do large projects but I do any handyman work that you may have so I can maintain my boyish figure. From pressure washing your tennis courts or driveways with my 24-in whirly washer which keeps the water spray from hitting plants, flowers or anything else, keeping all the dirt contained within that 2 ft enclosed circle. I've also got the 14 inch whirly washer for sidewalks and it keeps all the dirt and Moss and grime from hitting anything outside the 14 inch spin circle of the whirl-away's innovative body design. And it cleans beautifully no marks or stripes just a clean even wash, whether it's your driveway, tennis court or your sidewalk, even your garage floors, which I can also epoxy coat with a combined Grit that makes it look shiny and smooth, but even if it was wet and oily on a frozen day you wouldn't slip, for under $400 materials included. I can also remove the Moss and growth from your roof tiles or shingles and clean your gutters while I'm at it. I also do any small projects indoors such as installing baseboards, door and window casing, for both the interior and exterior of your home. I am also a master painter for interior and exterior work. And I won't just paint, I will repair and fix any anomaly, as a good preparation is key for a quality finish. I treat every project as if I'm doing my own home. I don't miss a thing, after 50 years in the trades, I have a sharp eye for detail because if I'm going to say I'm good, I need to be good. And growing up with Seven Sisters in a house with one bathroom left no room for mistakes, or I might have ended up a hairdresser. I pride myself on the quality work that I deliver to each and every client, and after 50 years in business, with an attention to detail and sharing ideas, my clients are now friends... Except for one, my only complaint in five decades. I guess its true, you can't please everyone, but I try. Get ahold of me and I'll treat you right. Thank you for taking some time with me. Cheers M. What to ask a Nanaimo upholsterer before hiring?

Wondering how to choose an upholsterer in Nanaimo? These questions can help you find the right match for your project.

Can I see examples of your previous upholstery projects?

Viewing photos or portfolios, often available directly on a Nanaimo upholsterer’s HomeStars profile, helps you assess their craftsmanship, stitching quality, fabric alignment, and overall attention to detail. Seeing past work also shows whether their style and skill level match the look you want for your furniture.

What fabrics do you recommend for my piece?

The right upholsterer in Nanaimo will guide you through fabric durability, maintenance needs, and suitability for everyday use. They can also explain how different materials affect the final look, feel, and cost, helping you choose the best option for your home and lifestyle.

How long will the project take from start to finish?

Timelines vary based on fabric availability, current workload, and the complexity of the job. Getting a clear estimate helps you plan around pickup, delivery, and any time you’ll be without the furniture.

How do you handle unexpected issues discovered during the project?

Sometimes hidden damage, like broken springs or internal wear, only becomes visible once the old fabric is removed. Ask your Nanaimo upholsterer how they communicate these findings, what additional costs might look like, and whether they require approval before proceeding.
