When he showed up, after looking at the job he said I do not have tools necessary for this repair today and he will come tomorrow prepared. Then, he ghosted me. I hired him to do my back deck with a partial pool surround. Because of the cost i was not expecting anything fancy; much of it was done well and a quick look at the deck it looks good but there are some major issues: 1. One set of stairs has to be rebuilt as two of the stair risers are significantly different heights than the rest-the second stair is 5.5” high while the others are 7” which leaves the bottom step to the ground about 9”. 2. An approx 1’x15’ extension was built off the back of the deck for where the back stairs were to be built onto. After he completed this set of stairs they were about 1’ short on one side and 6” at the other end instead of the span of the original 15’ extension so it looked weird. I got an extra patio stone and 6 more stair stringers and rebuilt this set of stairs myself. There were a lot of other smaller structural and cosmetic issues that I will be fixing myself. He gave us a small discount on price so I could buy materials to rebuild both stairs.

One window caulking and redoing silicone around a bathtub took the person three hours. He kept saying that cleaning up takes time. Regarding the quality of his job, please see the photos.

Poor quality workmanship for various small jobs. Window trim paint unfinished in spots. Wall was painted using a brush and shows brush strokes all over the wall, needs to be repainted with a paint roller. Vinyl floor not connected properly and clicks and shifts when stepping on it. Plumbing behind toilet not attached and a baseboard was installed behind it leaving metal piece hanging. Scrap metal was used as door transition pieces with exposed nails that aren’t even screwed into the floor they keep popping out. Caulking drops all over the shower floor, sink and tap just overall sloppy. I was charged $100/hr for labor + supplies. Upon competition of the work I was provided receipts and paid for a wrench $25.99 that was used for plumbing, and paint which was not completely used. The wrench and paint was taken although I paid for it. Overall paying $1400 for labour for unsatisfactory work I would have expected a lot more from a professional company based on the reviews. I dealt with Fix it home home repair for my backyard fencing and by far I was very amazed by the level of professionalism I’ve seen. They got it all done in one day. I am usually so picky when it come to finishings but they didn’t leave me any chance. Met them at the morning and went to work, by the time I was done work my back yard was fenced. Deniz just finished his job for me and I couldn't be happier. He did everything we asked and threw in a couple of extra jobs that he noticed needed to be done at the agreed upon price. Drywall fixing with no mess, baseboards updated, vinyl flooring, with full painting of walls, ceilings, and even fixed some broken porcelain tiles from a previous plumbing mishap. He lacked professionalism. Challenged me when I made specific requests. Left a mess behind. Cut off access to get to the door. Didn't seem to understand when I asked him specific questions. The only reason he is receiving even 2 stars is that he assembled the new bed frame with zero help from me with the exception of moving the existing bed out of the way.
