I would recommend Kanata Renovations. Although the project dragged out longer than anticipated their work was acceptable but I think given the fact I provided most of the finish materials (other than Mortar,grout, electrical wiring) the pricing could have been better. I left a great review after Renocan fixed my water temperature issue however I should have waited a year before writing a review. So we hired Renocan to fix thermostatic cartridge for my shower and they fixed it the first time but they didn't fix it properly. The direction of the handle when fixed was not the same from the original as it went from 9 to 3 instead of 3 to 9 direction. My wife didn't really care for much so I let it slide. Then about 3 months later, water was leaking from the handle. Apparently the washer broke off. He came and fixed it at a fee but noticed the handle movement wasn't as smooth. Then 5 months later my wife was taking a shower and she felt a pop when she turned the handle to change the water temperature. We no longer have cold water. They blame the quality of the thermostatic cartridge for the issue and not their workmanship. I do not recommend Renocan for any work done on plumbing. Mabda (Ben) is a someone you should avoid at all costs. He charged me $350+HST for fixing a sink at a condo I own. I trusted the work would be done and did not follow up to confirm. Buyer beware, the sink was not fixed at all! If he challenges this review, I have receipts showing what I paid, and pictures that show it was never fixed. Stay away!! The best/funniest part is, he flooded my toilet when he was there too just my luck! Read the reviews and don't waste your time. The good ones are probably fake.

Not a great experience! Cory was doing work for a commercial building in Edmonton and was hard to nail down an exact install date. He blamed the delays in starting and finishing our project on being short staffed and having to let some guys go. Maybe, but not what we signed up for. The guys he did send, including himself, weren't great quality-wise. The tiles in the back entrance do not sit level - some higher than others. You can feel it when you walk across them! The kitchen backsplash, which is made of small, rectangular glass tiles, is crooked! The tile lines are wavy and unattractive. Not super happy with the quality. In the end, we were desperate to just wrap up the renovation as we were living through it and it was dragging on too long. I wish in hindsight I had stuck to my guns and made him fix the sub-standard quality in some of the areas. It bothers me every time I look at my backsplash, which should be a nice focal point of our kitchen. :(Latest review:All Works Renos

We went in as first time carpet buyers and were told to just pick a carpet that we liked. We were never advised on the different carpet types and that some carpets are suited for specific uses. Our carpets look awful after just a few months of use. The store is ignoring our requests for help. Now we're stuck fixing this awful damage done to our home

Very quick and tidy work. I was highly impressed.Latest review:General contractor service-- I thought Mustafa did a great job on laying the tiles. However the job was delayed by 1 week and I had 3 rooms to remove the tiles and lay the new tiles. With the delay I removed the tiles from one room and cleaned up all the thin set. When he finally arrived to do the work he said wow good job that was a lot of work. Yes it was a lot of work but he did not reduce his price at all. He helped move the appliances and removed a set of sliding doors, shoe rail on the baseboards and one kick plate on the kitchen cupboards. When he finished tiling he said that he was finished and was ready to go. I asked about reinstalling the shoe rail on the baseboards, the sliding doors etc. he said he lays tiles the other stuff is not his job. I feel that if you take it apart that you should put it back. Good thing I’m handy or I would have had to hire a carpenter. I had to cut the kickplate to fit drill holes in porcelain make new moulding due to breakage. -the project took longer than necessary started the work with his son the first 2 weeks then he worked alone for the remaining time -agreement was 50% down and 50% balance upon completion of project -about 1 week after receiving first installation payment every other week he asked to be paid and othertimes he begged that he needed the money -He used the cheapest grade of artificial tarp and used old rusty nails- never secured correctly - he walked away with any excess material that remained from the project. -Latest review:Pro painter
