    Great pest control company

We used Gates (AAA) initially when we had a squirrel problem in our attic. They were very patient and understanding, got rid of the squirrels and put in features on the roof to keep them out. Squirrels have not been back in the house roof since. We used them again a few years later when squirrels go into our garage. Again the issue was solved at a reasonable price and with fantastic customer service. Chris was very knowledgable and professional. I would definitely recommend hi and the company any time.

    Answer from pro:

Hi kbakoto, the fact that you have used my company more than once shows that we had earned your trust. I really appreciate you thinking of us on both occasions. Hopefully that is the end to your wildlife problems. Thank you also for complimenting Chris on his "fantastic customer service." Brad Gates, B.Sc. Great Service

Josh arrived at my door within hours of calling AAA Wildlife Control. I have raccoon's that had already made a hole in my roof (which I had fixed) however, I could still hear them on my roof at night. Josh came on the stormy day and was on my roof in the freezing rain and snow installing the screen on my roof vents, pipe vents and plumbing vents. Josh also went above and beyond and climbed up into my attic to reassure me there were no critters in there any more. Josh did an amazing job! I highly recommend this company to take care of your wildlife control needs.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Sharon, I wish more of my customers were like you. Installing prevention measures before you have a wildlife problem makes so much sense and is a lot less expensive. Thank you for taking the time to compliment Josh on his hard work in the lousy weather. Brad Gates, B.Sc. Owner / President - Awarded HomeStars Best of 2015 & 2016!

    A Difficult Case

We had a serious problem with squirrels living in our flat roof. A previous company (to whom we paid roughly the same amount) could not identify the source of entry. We hired this company a year later and, although they ran into the same difficulty, Nick followed up, diligently, and finally resolved it. This company is very conscientious about dealing with their customers' problems...and worth every cent they are paid!...

    Answer from pro:

Hi Bill, I am glad to hear that Nick's perserverence paid off. Unfortunately wildlife control is not an exact science and sometimes we need to dig deep to resolve the problem. I absolutely love your comment "worth every cent they are paid". Thank you for your review and for trusting us to solve your squirrel problem. Brad Gates, B.Sc. Squirrels in the attic

We have always had squirrels in our neighbourhood, and would sometimes see them on the roof & windowsills. They were a nuisance, but we always thought they were just on top of the roof. Until spring 2015, when we started seeing and hearing them more frequently and loudly -- and the noise overhead began to wake us up during the night and early in the morning. We called Gates and they sent Pete to have a look. He went up on the roof, took some photos and showed us the squirrels had gained access to our attic via holes they had chewed through two of the roof vents! He installed a one-way door above one of the vents (to allow the squirrel(s) to exit but not re-enter), replaced the other broken vent, and wrapped protective wire mesh screens around all the roof vents, chimney and stacks. He came back twice over the next week to check, then replaced the other vent & installed protective wire over it. All was quiet until the cold weather hit in late January, and we started seeing and hearing more activity again. We woke one night in mid-February to a loud THUMP, scratching noises and then loud footsteps overhead once again. We called Gates and Pete returned, along with Josh, to check things out. Sure enough, squirrels had broken through the top of one of the vents again and had set up housekeeping in our attic. The one-way door was installed again, and Josh returned twice to check on it, then replaced the broken vent & added a protective wire cage over the top. Because the work from last spring was guaranteed for a full year, this was done at no further cost to us. Both Pete and Josh (as well as the people on the telephone) were a pleasure to deal with -- professional, courteous and cheerful. Having our home invaded by squirrels not just once but twice has been a stressful experience, and we appreciate their prompt and knowledgeable service, fast work and attention to our concerns.

    fast and friendly

Heard the telltale scratching of a critter who had decided to move in with me. Called in last Mon eve (feb 8, 2016) and was given a couple of time choices for an on-site consultation the next day. Tuesday two fine fellow showed up to make a visual inspection and noted two potential entry points. One spot was closed up and the other had a one-way gate installed to allow my visitor to exit but not re-enter. I had had a family of squirrels move into my roof many years ago and another company had come to deal with that situation. The Gates team volunteered to close up that older fencing which rather than a one-way gate had instead a spiked hole as an exit. Later that day, my visitor came out and sadly could not get back in. Thursday the fellow came and changed the gate for some screening. Quick, friendly and efficient. I highly recommend Gates. Thursday

    Answer from pro:

Hi Christina, you mentioned that another company had previously installed a "spiked" one way door instead of the humane one way door that we use. Homeowners aren't aware of this but these spiked one way doors that many companies are using can cause considerable harm to the animals as they attempt to exit or enter the attic. Thank you for your informative review and for hiring my company to humanely solve your wildlife problem. Brad Gates, B.Sc. Owner / President - Awarded HomeStars Best of 2016

    Noisy Raccoon's In The Attic

We had two raccoons that had torn their way into our attic. We were hearing loud thumping sounds and running back and forth above our heads which was super creepy to listen to at night and very disruptive in the early morning hours! After days spent pouring through multiple animal removal websites and review after review, I decided to give AAA Gates Wildlife Control a try, the reviews I read made me feel confident I was making the right choice. The woman who answered the phone (I forgot to get her name) was super friendly, knowledgeable, informative and helpful. She booked my free inspection with Justin right away and she explained in detail what the process would be going forward. Justin called to tell me he was arriving at the house to conduct his inspection and would email me the quote right away. He was very friendly, professional and answered my phone calls and any questions I had with a great positive attitude. The quote was very straight forward and outlined what work was required as well as Justin’s suggestions on what we could do to prevent animals from entering again. There was no pressure that came along with the quote, which I liked. It was solely our decision. Booking the work was just as easy, with the same woman in the office, she booked our appointment promptly. We decided to go forward and get the required work as well as the suggested work done. Justin installed two one way doors (1) for raccoons and (1) for squirrels, and sealed and screened off all of our possible entry points (Chimney, vents etc.) Just 1-2 days later, the raccoons had ventured out and could not return. Less then one week passed and Justin came to remove the one way doors and complete the job. We wanted the peace of mind knowing our home would be animal free & believe me it is very comforting knowing that!! I would highly recommend this company for their outstanding customer service, their attention to detail, their care for not only the animals but home owners as well. You can’t beat that experience. Will defiantly recommend to everyone with a wildlife problem!

    Removal of Squirrels

I was less than thrilled to hear some scratching/running over my upstairs bedroom ceiling and guessed that I had some unwelcome visitors, likely squirrels. I waited a few days to see what would happen hoping that these sounds might be just coming from the outside on the roof. However, a friendly person walking by, knocked on my door to tell me that he had in fact seen a squirrel burrowing into my house under the roof. I then became a "little" stressed out!! I called Gates Wildlife and was told someone would come by the following morning. The next day Chris promptly arrived.....what a great guy!! He was professional, friendly, very knowledgeable and an excellent communicator. I asked him to check for other vulnerabilities as well as the already identified problem area. He went on the roof and then explained what had happened and made recommendations as to what had to be done. I gave the go ahead with total confidence. Chris installed the one way door and also put in grates in the required areas. A few days later, Chris dropped by to see if the squirrel had left and determined that he had and removed the door and closed off the area. I would definitely highly recommend Gates Wildlife to anyone I come across who has an animal problem!!

    Answer from pro:

Hi Faith, thank you for your terrific play by play of how your job unfolded. I also really like your comment "I gave the go ahead with total confidence." I strongly believe that when hiring any service company it is important that you trust not only the person performing the work but you also must have confidence in their ability to successfully complete the work. Thank you for all your positive comments regarding Chris, he will be pleased to hear those. I will be reading your review during our next morning meeting. Thanks again! Brad Gates, B.Sc. Raccoon Removal

Great job, Peter arrived early and explained exactly what he was going to do including the cost. We had the steel mesh installed around our roof vents to keep the raccoons from ripping them off and gaining access to our attic again. Would use and reccomend this group again.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Dave, thank you for your review. It was a good call having all your roof vents screened. That is the most common point of entry we see for both raccoons and squirrels. Hopefully you won't need to use our services again but if you do we would be happy to help you out. Brad Gates, B.Sc. Owner / President -Awarded HomeStars Best Of 2016!

The best people you could possibly hire for wildlife removal, period!

I called Gates Wildlife Control after they were recommended to me by my physiotherapist. I had been looking for an honest and reliable company for wildlife removal for the raccoon that had made itself a home in my roof and immediately grabbed the phone and called when my physiotherapist spoke so highly of them. From the moment I called their number to the moment I had someone at my doorstep two days later, I received nothing but respect and professional ettiquette for them. The process was clearly laid out and explained to me from the very beginning and the right expectations were set in regards to service and cost. The service was timely and exceptionally done. But what surprised me most was the level of dedication this company puts into a single job. My family was lucky to deal with Justin. While I'm sure every person working with Gates is amazing, I have to say that my family's experience with Justin has been phenomenal. He deserves several pats on the back for his professionalism and his time. The raccoon in our roof was a stubborn one that took almost 3 weeks to leave, granted we did call for removal quite late and in the middle of winter. Justin stopped by our home in Brampton every few days between jobs to check up on how we were doing and if we could still hear the animal in the roof. I've never seen anyone do anything like that before. Justin came back a total of 5 or 6 times before the animal was gone and I honestly found it so hard to believe that service like this still exists today. This is an amazing company grounded in an excellent practice and is the one you should hire should you have any similar problems with wildlife. Please take my word for it. I'll never write another perfect review about another company again because the bar has been set so ridiculously high by Gates Wildlife. And no I was not paid to write this review. I'm just a ridiculously happy customer and believe that my experience should be shared. Hire this company, trust this company, and give your service personnel a pat on the back for the great work they're going to do. Justin, all the best and do stop by whenever you're in town. It was an absolute pleasure working with you. All the best, Naveed Khan & Family.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Naveed, for once I don't know what to say. Your review makes me extremely happy. I love all the detail you gave about how the job unfolded and how Justin provided service that was above your expectations. I particularly like your comment about not being able to write another perfect review again because the bar was set so high. Furthermore, your assumption that every person working at Gates is amazing couldn't be a truer statement. We only hire individuals that have a strong moral compass and want to provide exceptional service. As we do with all of our reviews, we read your review in our morning meeting today and Justin was beaming with pride. Thank you for taking the time to write such a great review. Brad Gates, B.Sc. Squirrel removal

Gates Wildlife did a great job of getting rid of the squirrels we had in our roof. It was a pleasure to have Wildlife tech Tony here to do a fantastic job and disappoint a couple of lively squirrels. Would recommend your services. Thanks again

    Answer from pro:

Hi Colleen, I appreciate that you took the time to write a review and for complimenting Tony for doing a "fantastic job". P.S. I don't think the squirrels will be too disappointed as they have many more houses they can move into. lol. Thank you for allowing us to humanely solve your wildlife problem. Brad Gates, B.Sc.
