    Installed new Daikin furnace

    The heat exchanger went in my Carrier furnace this winter. Called around and had four in home assessment quotes. Decided to go with Button's heating and air conditioning. He didn't try to over sell me like the other companies did. Very knowledgeable, they have been around for 40 plus years. I went with a Daikin 100000 BTU 2 stage M/S that came with 12 year parts and labour warranty. Upgraded from a 1" to 5" filter. They came on time. I was really impressed with the installation, the clean up. Really professional. I have a 3600 square foot home and the new furnace takes the heat comfort to a whole new level. Runs quieter and takes a lot less run time to reach desired temperature. I'm a Happy customer and would highly recommend them.

    Follow-up to Whole Home HVAC Install

    We had Button’s install an entirely new HVAC system in our century home we were renovating about eight years ago. New ducts, new furnace, new AC, new everything. We were originally really happy with the service from Button’s, but want to warn every one of our very recent and very poor experience with Button’s. It turns out that they never actually finished installing our air purifier and humidifier eight years ago. We didn’t notice anything was wrong until this year. With us working from home, and our furnace running almost all day, we’ve had massive humidity issues. We called Button’s out to service our humidifier/air-purifier, and within two seconds the tech was laughing as the reason it wasn’t working was because it was never actually installed. We were charged $168.37 for the visit, told that he would relay all the information to the office, and someone would be in contact with us. He apologized for their mistake and said he can't understand how it would happen. No one reached out. My wife emailed the owner of Button's who we dealt with during the initial installation of our HVAC, we never heard back. A week later, we called the office, and then finally received an email the day after. They said they would offer us a discount to come and do the work, but stressed to us that we were now out of the 1-year installation warranty. I followed up to them immediately, asking how much of a discount I was being offered, questioning whether something never actually installed could fall under their installation warranty or if our original terms of installation were broken, and stressed how disappointed I was in their lack of response to us. After all, they've left us living in a house we thought we invested in protecting the air quality of for eight years! We have never heard back. It's now been another week without response. So, in the meantime, I contacted another company. Within three hours of me filling out their online form I had someone at my house servicing my furnace and installing the humidifier. Yeah – I paid full price, but it was worth the customer service, and I wasn't going to give Button's another dime for something I ALREADY PAID FOR. The best part, when the other company was at my house, they found two small gas leaks from the work that Button’s did eight years ago. Nothing deadly, but bad installation all the same. Bottom line. I liked Button’s. We were recommending them. But they’re fair-weather friends. They take zero accountability for their work, and don’t even have the courtesy to respond to issues that they created. It's actually pretty rude to be honest. Your call. But I would recommend you go elsewhere.

    Furnace Repair

    We have had continous problems with our 10 year old furance. Every year it has broken down and required maintenance. We called Button's Heating & Air Conditioning this time, as the company that installed our furance is no longer in business. Tom, their Technican came out the same night we called and troubleshooted and found that the heat exchanger needed replacing. He took the time to explain our options to us and left us with heaters over the weekend to heat our home. On Monday, Technicans Tom and Jeff came out to replace our heat exchanger for the furnace. They arrived on time and went above and beyond and ensured testing prior to leaving. Would defintely recommend Buttons Heating & Air Conditioning to our family and friends.

    Furnace Replacement

    I believe it was Todd that called almost immediately after sending an email for an estimate as he was concerned I might not have any heat (but I did). Brian came out 2 days later who was very thorough in measuring all my existing equipment and offering honest answers to all my questions. No pressure of upselling and wouldn't even suggest replacing some of my other equipment as there wasn't any reason to do so. Ended up getting a new Daikin furnace as Button's price was lower than the other Daikin contractor in the Toronto area. Kris, Kyle and Phil arrived early on install day and were done in about 3 hours. They even wired my condensate pump to shut off the furnace if it fails along with running 6 wires to my existing Ecobee so that the 2-stage furnace could be controlled. The existing venting was apparently installed backwards, so they corrected that as well. Very professional and neatly done. Great experience overall.

    New furnace to replace existing one

    Nigel efficiently responded to my call for a quote for a new furnace and within hours I had a couple of options to consider. We quickly decided which to opt for. When Kris and his crew arrived they immediately organized their work in a systematic manner, making sure our floors were protected by their cover sheets. As the work progressed, Kris kept me informed about what they were doing and why. The existing furnace was soon dismantled with all of the parts neatly being removed outside. The new furnace was quickly installed as was the new thermostat so that the house was being warmed again in a very timely manner. The crew's workmanship was extremely neat - a sign they had high standards and showed they cared about their work and their customer. This is the second time we employed Button's Heating, both times affording us excellent outcomes with a high level of satisfaction. I recommend this company without reservation.

    New Furnace

    We ended up needing a new furnace for safety reasons. There was no pressure and it was done the next day. Efficient and respectful of COVID protocol within our home. Highly recommended.

    HVAC and Water Heater Install

    Button’s Furnace & A/C Review: Our furnace was reaching 24 years of age and not wanting to risk its failure over the winter, we decided it was time to finally replace it. We contacted a contractor that had done work for us before, but they no longer service our area and they recommended Button’s Heating & Air Conditioning. After contacting Button’s, Todd came over to access our situation and determined that not only our furnace had reached end of life, but so had our air conditioner. Todd selected a number of suitable options for us and went over all of the details, making recommendations and clearly outlining the pros and cons of the choices available to us, including the complete cost of each option. His approach was professional, and it was very apparent from our conversation that he has an excellent working knowledge of the equipment they deal with. After the decisions on the specific equipment were concluded, arrangements were made for installation. The following week Buttons’ team arrived right on time, and literally rolled out the red carpet across our floor in our hallway to protect the surface as they brought equipment in and out. With the current situation of the pandemic, all members of their team observed proper COVID precautions and made us comfortable having them work in our home. By early afternoon, the new furnace and A/C were installed and all of the old requirement removed. The workmanship was impeccable, with the installation looking more professional than what the builder had originally put in. We have now been using the furnace for three months and are very pleased with the performance. It provides a nice balanced climate control for the house, and is truly as quiet as Todd had promised. At times it is hard to tell that it is even running. We did have one issue several weeks after the initial installation. There was a power surge that damaged the control board for the air conditioner. We contacted Button’s and they responded quickly to diagnose the problem. A replacement board was ordered and installed in a timely fashion, and now everything is working correctly. The service call gave us an opportunity to evaluate Button’s aftercare, and we were not disappointed. There were no difficulties reaching someone and a service technician was promptly assigned. The technician was very thorough diagnosing the issue, including consulting with the manufacture directly to pinpoint the failed component. The week lead time to obtain the part was not a concern as the A/C was no longer being used as it was now autumn, but we were told that they would have expedited the part had it been during the cooling season. Overall, we would rate Button’s Heating & Air Conditioning with a full 5 stars and recommend them to anyone looking for quality workmanship from a professional team. Button’s Water Heater Review: This is the second time we have engaged Button’s Heating & Air Conditioning this year. After our complete satisfaction with their installation of our new HVAC system, we did not hesitate to call them when we ran into problems with our water heater. The rental water heater control board failed for the second time in as many months. When the rental company came to repair it, the technician noted that the water heater was starting to leak and was reaching its end of life. Rather than pursue another rental unit, we decided to buy one outright. We immediately call Button’s to arrange a consultation. Todd from Button’s came over the same day to review the project and help us select a suitable replacement unit. Within days of his visit, their crew were here to install the new water heater. Just as we found with the previous work they had done for us, the workmanship and professionalism of this company is second to none. Based on our positive experiences with this company, we highly recommend Button’s Heating & Air Conditioning for installation, maintenance or service of your HVAC system. In our opinion, their top-notch workmanship, attention to detail and professional manner makes them the first choice.

    Repeat Customer

    This is the second time we called on Button Heating to help us with a new furnace, for two different homes. We dealt with Todd Button directly, the owner of the company. Todd is straight forward, honest and gave us excellent value on our furnace and AC. I highly recommend dealing with this company. There is no pressure and everything is up front.
