    Furnace Maintenance

    Had the same technician as previous, Ather. He's very polite, organized and fast. Always a pleasure to deal with him. For sure I'm I'll be doing with them next time.

    Ductless Mitsubishi AC install

    Shan Arif was one advising us and guiding through the whole process. No major issues, did a good good job at a reasonable price. Got a quote for a no name mini split that would have been 8K by another company, or a 'deluxe system' by Enercare for 25K. My only issues was that I couldn't get any proper/official receipts despite calling accounting and a service manager; so i was mailed eventually a hand written invoice. Seems a bit odd and unprofessional for a company that charged me >$10K. I still don't have a printed receipt - only my visa statements to prove i paid. Technically, it all went without a hitch and i was glad to be away for 1 week during the install dates -very dusty & noise (i've been told).

    Maintenance AC/Furnace

    Every year I ask for Ather Hasan to do the maintenance visits for our AC and Furnace. I enjoy his helpful tips and his dedication to doing a very thorough job. He goes above and beyond to make sure the units he's servicing work as expected. I also appreciate that Cosmopolitan has maintained the same rate for me as a reward for my loyalty as a customer.     GET A RECEIPT - Furnace Replacement

    UPDATED: June 2017 After receiving the comment below from the company's owner, I have spoken with Sam and have received a copy of the receipt for this transaction. Sam genuinely apologized for the hassle this had caused me and from my view appreciated the position this put me in. I'm obviously still not thrilled with the delay this caused in receiving the appropriate rebates but I do believe that this company is generally a good one and has made a sincere effort to make this right. ---------------------------------- Our furnace stopped working in January and we contacted Cosmopolitan to replace it. Truthfully I really liked Mike's professionalism and he and his team did a great job in repairing everything in short notice. They were also able to alert us to a problem with our A/C (which we also replaced). However, the MAJOR problem I have had since is in trying to get a receipt for their work. I was not given one on the day of the service (and in hindsight I should have probably noticed this as a problem and insisted on one). I have followed up REPEATEDLY with Mike over the 3+ months since and despite repeated assurances that he will send me a copy, I am still waiting. I've also tried going through the head office but the person I spoke to there was even less helpful. I was told that they likely didn't have a record they could share with me (something I find a bit hard to believe since they must be keeping some records of their outgoing work) but that he'd take a look. That was a few weeks ago and again I have heard nothing since. In the meantime, by not having a receipt for this replacement, I have been unable to finalize our attempts to receive an energy efficiency rebate for over $1,000. In every other regard my experience was great with this company but I wouldn't recommend them to anybody based on how this has gone. I would STRONGLY urge anybody who is considering using them to INSIST on getting a receipt at the time that the work is completed.

    AC, heating and tankless maintenance

    Hasan Ather called and arrived on time for the appointment to have my AC,heater and tankless maintained. Very professional and friendly; completed the work efficiently and with some explaining of the process which was very helpful. With not hesitate to recommend him to other prospective clients.

    Annual Maintenance AC/Furnace

    We had our AC/Furnace replaced several years ago and decided that annual preventative maintenance was a worthwhile investment. Every year Ather Hasan visits us and does a full inspection of both our AC and Furnace. He always provides helpful tips and goes above and beyond to make sure our home is comfortable and safe. I ask for Ather every year as I trust him completely to do an impeccable job with the service. I am also very pleased that Cosmopolitan has never raised the rate on me as a show of their appreciation for my loyalty as a customer. I will most definitely continue to be calling for my annual service. -Marie Issa

    Would never go with anyone else

    This company has the most knowledgeable service technicians I have come across, all working for the same company. Ather has been performing our annual service and maintenance for the last 3 years now. It all started 4 years ago when our AC died. We had recently moved in the house and it was a hot Labour day weekend. Cosmopolitan was the only company who could have a tech show up within a reasonable window. He showed up in half hour! We were shown parts and various corners cut by the previous owners to fix previous issues. We were advised that the fix would only be a quick fix and not a long term solution due to the butchery done to the unit. We decided to replace the ac. The furnace was in semi-decent condition and they did not push for a new furnace sale. We however decided that why would we not, because the furnace would need to be replaced a few years down the road. Also the furnace and ac units purchased as package made better money sense. We also replaced our water heater. The price was very fair, but more importantly the workmanship was key. I write this review 3 years later, because since then we have had no issues. Ather is very dedicated and knowledgeable and shares this knowledge. He is neat and efficient with his time.

    Furnace replacement

    Our furnace brokedown in early March and Adam at Cosmopolitan arranged for Mike to come to our house the very next day. Thank goodness they did as the next few days after that was pretty chilly. Mike quickly assessed the problem and the very same day, they were able to install the furnace. Found the AC to be leaking and replaced that as well. The quotes were reasonable, they did not try to up sell us, only provided the products that suits our needs. They were here past 9 p.m. to have everything done and did not leave behind a mess. Would recommend.

    Inspection

    Had Athar come in to perform a furnace and AC inspection. He was great, explained a lot of things and clarified any questions that I had. Overall very satisfied with the experience and will definitely recommend them to others.
