    New furnace installation

    Cosmopolitan mechanical services technician Fred was great. Salesperson Paul Sushobhan cane to our house and sold us carrier furnace. Furnace is quite and working good. It was positive experience dealing with this company.

    Repeated failure for new furnace

    We had our furnace installed by Cosmopolitan in 2015. Cosmopolitan installed the furnace and is the only one to have ever serviced it. In the fall of 2017, the furnace stopped working. It took four service calls, over six days, to identify and fix the issue - which was a blocked exhaust pipe. Again, Cosmopolitan installed the furnace. They installed the exhaust pipe in such a way that it got blocked (in only two years of operation). In January 2018, the furnace stopped working again. When I called Cosmopolitan's emergency line I was told that it would take four days for a technician to arrive. When I demanded an earlier service call they told me they would call me back. They did not call back but an hour later a technician arrived. He changed the angle of the exhaust pipe and the furnace is now running again. However, we are just waiting for the next failure and I am dreading the next time I have to call Cosmopolitan for help. A few days later the furnace failed yet again. After repeated calls, and repeated promises from their office that they would call back, we gave up. They've apparently given up on us too. Don't make the mistake we did and get Cosmopolitan to install your furnace. Big on promises, short on quality and terrible customer service. Even though they are responsible for the mess they've made, at this point we're just going to go elsewhere. It will cost money we don't deserve to pay, but it's better than dealing with this mess of a company. Edit: they called us to try to get us to change this review, and called to offer us our annual servicing, but never called to fix the problem we were having. That's the kind of company you're dealing with. I strongly recommend that you avoid this company.

    Furnace Inspection

    We just had our furnace inspected by the Cosmopolitan Home Service Advisor, Ather. Ather telephoned us ahead of the appointment to give us his arrival time. When Ather arrived, he was extremely polite and very efficient. Ather was very thorough with his inspection and very helpful in giving us tips and suggestions for the future care of our furnace. We would recommend Cosmopolitan for any heating or air conditioning issues and we will be requesting Ather for our furnace inspection next year.

    Furnace ervice

    Just had our furnace serviced by Arther Hasan. In addition to the mechanical service he also did a air quality test and took the time to explain various issues about the heating system. He provided excellent service.

    Emergency Furnace Repair

    Cosmopolitan installed my furnace about four years ago. Upon returning from a camping trip on Dec. 23rd, I found the furnace intermittenly failed to ignite and heat. I called Cosmopolitan in the morning of Dec. 24th. Adam, who received the call, was courteous and transparent about the possible repair costs. Mehfooz, the technician, arrived about two hours after my call and quickly got to work. He was courteous and took initiative to explain what he was doing and his diagnosis. The problem turned out to be a bad pressure switch. After about an hour of work, heat returned and the furnace has been working fine since. Mehfooz clearly documented the work completed on the invoice. I am thankful that Cosmopolitan was able to address the issue in such a short time, especially during the holiday season.

    Furnace Servicing

    Ather was great to work with. He fixed a old part in my 17 year-old furnace which kept it running smoothly. He was also great at explaining what he was doing and why. Overall was a great experience. Thanks Ather!

    Consistently reliable service

    Ather Hasan was my technician and he did a great job diagnosing and fixing my humidifer. Ather was clearly knowledgeable about humidifiers but also volunteered pointers about other aspects of our house as well. Ather was courteous in providing us phone calls in advance and showed up on time. He worked quickly and efficiently and was able to repair our device (which I had assumed would need to be replaced) on the first visit .

    New Water Heater Installation

    I contacted Mr. Faheem at Cosmopolitan Mechanical Service on recommendation my friend, In October my old water heater got leaked so I decided to get rid of rental company and get my own, Mr. Faheem helped me in deciding for best water heater for long run with family, and get it installed same day, they actually did out of the way job, to pickup specific water heater from other warehouse for me. The water heater unit was excellent. Thank You Mr.Faheem & Cosmopolitan mechanical Services Only one suggestion the Installer person sent was little rude, don't want to answer if asked any question regarding water heater, or didn't bother much to explain by himself, but overall Installation he did was good, no issues in that

    Great Service and PRice

    For someone who works extensively with vendors I do not believe you can do better than E.J and his team at Cosmopolitan. From the customer service agent at the web site to the amazing installation effort everything went extremely well. After being re-tagged with winter settling in at both our furnace and hot water heater we approached several other organizations with fairly high reviews who clearly were after a quick pay cheque. E.J not only came to our house the same day but coordinated the install for the next morning. When it was determined that our A.C also needed to go E.J stepped up and got us a great deal. He also coordinated all of the rebates and called multiple times to ensure we were satisfied. I researched both the products and pricing extensively and appreciate the attention to high quality products and fair pricing that Cosmopolitan provided. Great service all around. Eric

    Excellent Response On Emergency No Heat Service

    We have called Cosmopolitan Mechanical Services last week when our furnace broke down. Having 6 weeks old baby in the house with this cold weather and no heat when your house temperature is dropped down to 17 is definitely a concern. Our call was promptly answered by the manager Sam, explained the emergency to him and he was kind enough to send the technician within an hour. Technician Mahfooz showed up and found that our old thermostat was dead, he quickly replaced with the new one which helped us to get the heat back in our house in no time. We can’t thank enough to Sam, Mahfooz and Cosmopolitan for their rapid response and will highly recommend this company to everyone in need of an emergency service.
