    Lawn maintenance

    I paid extra for patio and walkway service in May this year. They came out late June. I requested two more resprays. I have weeds two feet high! Maybe they used fertilizer instead of weed spray. No customer satisfaction to resolve the issue. I filled two brown paper bags with the weeds that I removed by hand.

    I normally use Homestars to recommend work. But stay away from Hometurf Mississauga

    I usually post only positive reviews on Homestars, but this one is a notable exception. Hometurf Mississauga is entirely uninterested in providing decent lawncare services - they just want to schedule applications and do the bare minimum to satisfy their obligation. The first visit they made in late spring/early summer 2021 was terrible. The young lady missed half the lawn and seemed entirely oblivious to the actual boundaries of my property. I wrote to complain and Hometurf apologized, asking if I'd like them to reapply. No...I don't want a lawn-scorching second helping of fertilizer thank you. However, it seems the partial application trick is established practice because of course it happened again. The crew either missed or just plain ignored entire sections of my property but were more than happy to stick the treatment sign in the grass. The attached screenshots from the full videos should demonstrate that I back up my complaints with actual footage. To make matters worse, anyone with a remote working knowledge of lawncare knows that things should be done in a certain order, or at particular times of the year. For instance, you don't seed a lawn in the baking heat of July. Or that you aerate first, then overseed. But not Hometurf Mississauga - they just schedule their services at any time to check them off the list. If you're not paying attention, don't see their email or happen not to be home, too bad. The work is done, it's off their list and you've wasted your money. They don't care. With Hometurf Mississauga do not assume that just because you see the little sign stuck in your grass that you've actually received the indicated service. Please go check my other reviews. If a company earns my respect and does a great job I take the time to say so here. So I urge you to please heed my warning and avoid Hometurf Mississauga at all costs.

    Worst Service and Customer Service

    I had signed up with Hometurf in 2020 and the service was ok. Several times they claimed they could not access the backyard but their was no reason. The second year of service they would show up and sit in the driveway and then drive away with nothing done. I had to call and follow up on every service to come back and do the work. The final straw was when one of their employees sat in my driving watching youtube for 2 hours and then spilled a ton of weed killed on the entrance to my back yard and the grass is still recovering a year later. They also damaged my hose outlet. I called to cancel the service and then in the spring they showed up and fertilized the lawn saying I had never cancelled. I requested a call from a supervisor to discuss and never received a call back. They then sent me an invoice months later for the service and changed late fees. I will never never recommend this service or use them again.

    Excellent work. You cannot go wrong with the free unlimited resprays for stubborn weeds. The staff is always very polite and knowledgeable. Keep up the great work.

    Horrible company to deal with

    Last year the technician destroyed my flowers by dragging his hose through my garden (caught on camera and pictures taken). I was offered as compensation a free upgrade to the ambassador program the following season or I could purchase my flowers the following summer hand in my receipts for compensation. I decided to go with the upgrade to ambassador program. This year, I was getting a new deck and got my 24 hour notice that they were coming so I called immediately to say they couldnt come, as my backyard was a construction zone. I said they will need to come next week instead. The representative said ok, they will give you 24 hour notice before they arrive. I said thats great but please ensure its not this week. Next day, I get an email, they are coming the next day! I call AGAIN .you can NOT come I am having a new deck put in. I called already they need to come next week! Oh, so you dont want them to come tomorrowno NEXT week. Next day, another emailthey are coming. This time I put it in writing, the rep writes backplease call customer service with scheduling issues are you kidding me.I have called twice already I do t have time for this nonsense. Today I get a letter in the mail saying I owe them $34 dollars, and that its late. Letter doesnt say for what and I was given a bill previously as I PREPAID on. Y. Refit card and am an early bird AND was upgraded at no charge for their destruction of my flowers to the ambassador program. So waiting for a response. I have given my notice that I will not be renewing. This company is very poorly run., and my weeds are still horrible anyways for their less than 5 minutes spraying of the whole front and back most of the time is unravelling the hose. Its all timed on our cameras. Not thorough, not good.

    Sod Replacement Project

    The team ( Alejandro T, Conner and Chris D.) did such a wonderful job on the sod replacement project at my inlaws property! They were professional and attentive to make sure everything was aligning. Wanted to give an awesome thank you to the team!

    Controlled my weeds

    For years I was personally dealing with pulling out weeds by hand. I would literally sit on my lawn and using a screwdriver pluck out the weeds one by one. Last year I decided I was done with it all- I couldn't do the work, both physically and mentally. I was debating investing in Home Turf (it is an investment), and my friend confirmed that the service was great and that she used them. So I decided to give them one year. That first year weeds were scaled back ten-fold and I didn't have to do a thing. I am constantly getting neighbours commenting on how good my lawn looks and asking me what I do to get it that way (nothing but mowing and Home Turf). The occasional weed will creep through and it hasn't quite solved my clover problem, but it has greatly mitigated it. But all in all it was worth the investment and I paid in for a second year. Home Turf will call you the day ahead to remind you they're coming by and will return to respray if the initial application doesn't take.

    Have had a great experience with Hometurf. Have used them for several years for our lawn care and always been happy with the results and their customer service.

    Lawn care

    Have been using home turf for lawn care/ weed prevention for years and cant complain. They come on the agreed schedule and are thorough with the application.
