    Worst Lawn-care Service

    Worst experience I’ve ever had with a lawn-care provider. On their first visit, they burned our lawn! The worst part is, they continued to deny it and gave no direction on how to rectify the problem. I tried to get a full refund and was also denied. They gave a small portion back with a cancellation fee. Absolutely ridiculous! Horrible customer service and an unprofessional manager handling the situation. Do yourself a favour and find a better lawn-care provider.

    FERTILIZING/WEED KILLING

    Generally satisfactory over the several years I have used them. This week I happened to be on my deck when the guy did the weed killing using a spray. I did not find his application to be very thorough. He seemed rushed.Our weeds are mostly dandelions and clover. At this time of year I am out most days removing/spraying weeds due to their proliferation. He did spot treat, but a few days later I could see he missed some areas. I think allotting a bit more time for closer attention might be the answer.

    Weed control

    Horrible service!!! First time I used this company, I signed up for the seasonal weed control. I had two applications of fertilizer and one Fiesta weed control application. The Fiesta Weed application left a brown line around my lawn not to mention the weeds did not die!!! MORE weeds actually surfaced the next day!!! The brown line burnt my lawn and turned it to straw. I called to cancel the service. The manager would not give me a refund. I had to pay for what was done AND a cancellation fee!!! Can you believe this!!! The manager said it would take two weeks for the brown line to go away, I tried to tell her that the brown line has now burnt my lawn and turned it to straw. The manager didn’t seem to care!!! Horrible customer service!!!

    Complete Program

    We are in our second year with HomeTurf and were very satisfied in the first year. This year the fiesta weed control was not done a thoroughly as the previous year. Still have quite a few weeds that we had to remove by hand. Otherwise, all applications completed on schedule and staff is very friendly.

    Reliable Service, competitive prices

    I have been using Home Turf for a couple of years now. Always reliable, even during these unprecedented times. Their prices are fair for the value they bring. I would suggest that they add a rating systems for their technicians so that we as clients can provide some feedback after each visit.

    Timely

    Both the people on the job site and office staff are professional about their responsibilities toward their customers. They have promptly responded to any of my questions or concerns. I would recommend Hometurf to anyone who needs to keep their lawn well maintained. Vince

    Fertilizer

    Spring fertilizer was scant on the lawn. We usually have to sweep the driveway to get rid of the fertilizer beads. Not this time! The rep came and she walked with a body held fertilizer dispenser. She took the shortest route through a large lawn and she was gone. I went out to sweep the driveway and I noticed there were not any fertilizers bead to be swept. My husband returned home and he noticed that there were a few fertilizer beads on the grass but nothing compared to what we usually received. We called to say that we were not satisfied and asked them to return to complete the job. A rep returned and the job was completed to our satisfaction.

    Lawn Care Service

    I started Hometurf lawn services 3 years ago and have been completely satisfied. I was previously with another lawn services provider for a number of years and rank Hometurf a better fit for me and my lawn. Contact with employees has always been positive, they leave property well looked after and my lawn has never been better. My neighbor uses the company also and is happy with the service also. I am fairly picky about my lawn so take it from me that i have no hesitation to recommend. I also want to note the annual fee is better than other well known companies out there. Regards.

    Services deteriorated in 5 years

    I've been with Hometurf for 5 years and the last two years have been a disaster. They are always 2-3 weeks late with the application of iron (aka "Fiesta weed control") compared to the companies that my neighbours are using. As a result of this, my neighbours' lawns are fine and we get uncontrolled growth of dandelions, which gets worse and worse every year. Yet, the weed control is the main reason I am paying Hometurf over $500/year for their services as you cannot really do weed control yourself. Hometurf used to be a decent company years ago, but they did a smart move back then - they offered discounts to customers who post 5 star reviews on Google, Homestars, etc. As a result, they got a lot of positive reviews, so they could cut on service standards and still get customers.

    Complete program

    Been customer for many years <> People are very prompt on resprays but not so great on over seeding !!! The season price is reasonable & affordable ? This would be a 5 star if the seeding was a lot better !!
