waterproofing, sewer replacement, indoor fixture installation and repair

I have never met more diligent and hard working repairmen. We had extensive work done inside and outside to waterproof the foundation and replace damaged sewer lines and pipes that had caused significant flooding in the house. Vladimir was the principal plumber for the underground work and was extremely knowledgeable and careful, putting in long and difficult days cheerfully. He answered all of my questions so that I fully understood the extent of the work. When it came time to replace fixtures inside and repair small problems in bathrooms, I did not hesitate to call New Canadian Drain again. This time, they sent Yuri, who was also careful, knowledgeable and friendly. He arrived with every part that could possibly have been needed. I recommend New Canadian Drain without reservation.

    Basement Leak

My wife and I had just had our basement finished when we noticed water marks along a baseboard. Turned out we had a leak in the foundation wall. We panicked about how much this would cost to repair and how much damage would be done to our newly finished basement. After meeting with Jocelyn, our stress was gone. New Canadian came the very next day and repaired it all within 2 days! That is an amazing effort given the size of the project and all the obstacles they had to deal with such as gas lines, narrow work space (about 3ft between houses), our newly finished basement just to name a few! After it ws all done, the basement is dry and absolutely perfect. New Canadian were on time, fast, clean and efficient. GREAT JOB!!!!!

Waterproofing inside & out, drains, plumbing

Our problems were multiple, and not simple -- we had been saving for years to be able to do this work. It involved outside waterproofing and foundation repair in an area notorious for its high water table (thanks to Garrison Creek); drains and plumbing remediation (improperly installed basement bathroom and laundry) and problems resulting from a previous basement lowering. Our contact was Stephen, and he properly diagnosed the problems, separated out and then costed the various elements of the work that needed to be done, explained everything clearly and succinctly, and gave us quotes that seemed reasonable, considering the size of the project. The work was done immediately and I have never seen anyone work harder than this crew of Ukrainians. It was unbelievable. The work was completed in record time and everyone seemed to know his job very well indeed. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs this type of work done. It was a pleasure to work with Stephen and he was unfailingly pleasant, polite, accessible, and -- perhaps most important of all -- did what he said he was going to do, when he said he was going to do it.

    Foundation Waterproofing

We were impressed with how soon they were available to start the work after we accepted their quote, and they owner graciously answered all of our many questions before they started. He even gave us a small discount for preparing the work area in advance since we were looking to save money because the foundation leak was an expensive surprise we had not budgeted for this year. There were a few things that didn't go smoothly. First, they didn't want to get a building permit from the Town of Halton Hills before starting. It seems that a permit is not required in the City of Toronto for this type of work, so they were not used to needing to apply for a permit. But, all of my calls to Town of HH indicated that it was needed. So, we arranged for and paid for the permit so we could protect ourselves in the event that there was a problem with their work. The second problem was that our newly installed eavestroughs were left damaged in two locations. Once the damage was brought to the owner's attention, one of the workers returned the same day to reimburse us for the cost of the repairs. The worker admitted to knowing about the damage during the work and decided not to say anything to us or the owner in hopes that we wouldn't notice. At least we were compensated, but we recommend you check the work area before you pay them. A big thank you to the owner for addressing our complaint about the eavestroughs as soon as he was made aware.
