I was moving from my bungalow in Mississauga to a larger two story house which was also in Mississauga. After reading reviews on Homestars, I called Rent-a-Son for a quote on packing and moving. Rob responded promptly and scheduled an on-site visit for an assessment and estimate. He was very thorough and polite and provided an estimate for each within 24 hours. He was also readily available for any questions. On January 15, the day of the packing, Nick, who was the ‘captain’, showed up with two other gentlemen and after confirming what needed to be packed and doing a walk-through, they began packing. Nick also advised that another gentleman went to get additional supplies and would show up later which he did. They worked quickly, efficiently and neatly. After the packing was done Nick confirmed the supplies and time and also advised that I wasn’t going to be charged for the time in which the gentleman showed up late or for their lunch breaks. On the day of the move Nick arrived with 5 other gentlemen and again began a very thorough job with the packing. Again, very efficient and neat. The unpacking was also done without incident and Nick also took the time to add felt-pads to my furniture that was positioned on my hardwood floors… nice touch!!! The whole crew worked very hard and neatly I really appreciate their care and attitude. I am so glad that I chose Rent-A-Son and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone!!!

Excellent service from start to finish. Packing of breakables was done the day before the move. On move day, the crew arrived right on time and were most pleasant and professional. Furniture was placed in the exact location we specified in the apartment. I would certainly recommend this firm to others.

I had asked Rent-A-Son to move my furniture across Canada when I moved from Toronto to Vancouver at the end of last year. I had a great experience with them, with only a few minor hiccups. - Amanda, the long distance moving coordinator is great to work with. She's a prompt responder, and was able to take care of all the questions I had. - The movers themselves were great. They were professional on site, dealt with our elevator difficulties without getting frustrated, and packaged my property appropriately. The only problem I had was that the move went a little over the time we had available for the elevator (2 hours), and things were a bit rushed at the end. I'd happily recommend Rent-a-Son to anyone I know.

Highly recommend this moving company! We were moving from a 2500 sq ft house to a Townhome. Prior to our move Bob visited our home and did a thorough walk through of all contents to be moved and made recommendations for proper packing. Their quote was the second highest amongst other quotes but we chose them as our moving company based on their professionalism, thoroughness and favourable reviews on HomeStars. We hired 4 movers as it was a big move. On move day, Justin and team arrived 10 minutes early. They properly dismantled furniture and wrapped expensive pieces carefully. We also made a second stop to a storage facility on the way to add and remove boxes. Justin and team did a fantastic job in keeping our move organized and stress free. The move was completed ahead of the estimated time which was a bonus. I must say this is one of the best moving companies in Toronto and I will hire them again for future moves!

I have only great things to say about the movers from rent-a-son. Prior to the move, Ericka was very friendly and helpful in prepping for moving day. On the day of the move, the movers were punctual, professional and took great time and care in wrapping and moving my items. Shamar was particularly amazing with the move - he made our move stress free. Would highly reccomend them to friends and family.

Being new to the city, we had no idea who to hire for movers, so I looked on BlogTO and found an article about movers. Rent-a-son was not the cheapest quote we got, but it was in the middle, but the staff right from the start were professional. Even before the move they seemed to care that everything was planned and going to work out. We went with a four person crew to move out of our apartment, into a new one because of time contraints with the elevators. The entire crew was excellent. They arrived on time and immediately got started. They professionally wrapped all our furniture, ensuring everything was well taken care of. They immediately made us feel comfortable with them, and moved quickly. We got out of the apartment in the 2 hour window we were provided (and there were two very long hall ways to walk down!). They also got us unloaded in less than two hours, unwrapping and placing everything where we wanted it. Now that we have unpacked nothing was damaged, broken, or even scratched! We were so impressed with how courteous, friendly and quick the movers were. They were so professional. After the move was done we received our invoice and noticed that there was a mattress bag charge. We emailed them (bill was sent via email) and the VP of the company responded to us, apologizing and immediately reversing the charge. All in all we were very pleased with Rent-A-Son from beginning to end and would definitely hire them again if we ever need to move!

Both my boyfriend and I used Rent-a-Son last month. I did a 2 day move, as I didn't know what time I'd be getting the keys to get into my new building. Picked my stuff up on the 19th in the evening, and moved me into the new place the 20th in the morning. Both moves were super fast and the guys were friendly and professional. Boyfriend moved his stuff in a one day move a week later and again they were super fast and took good care with everything including a large wardrobe that barely fit through the door. They ended up being finished a hour early so we didn't have to pay as much. Erika, the moving co-ordinator was very helpful with all my questions and always received a prompt reply. Would definitely recommend them.

we are having our basement lowered and had to move the contents to two storage lockers. some of the stuff had been down there for 7 years. I searched on HomeStars and decided on Rent a Son. They arrived on time, and the move went well, the guys were amazing, very helpful, excellent attitude, and very respectful….can’t say enough about them. thanks so much and I will be in touch when we have to bring it back in the spring.

The crew was excellent. Personable, thoughtful and diligent. An absolute pleasure to work with. The team exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for the right moving company with a great attitude Rent-a-Son is a sure thing.

I found these guys on Homestars, and thought they were outstanding. This was my 4th move in Toronto and they were by far the most professional and well organized movers I've had. They bring tons of padding (more than any other mover) and provided 4 wardrobe boxes free of charge (which were extremely practical). Nick and his crew were great. My next move will definitely be with these guys.
