Crew arrived on time and worked really hard for 8.5 hours. Liked that the crew was on their best behaviour around my young guys (no swearing etc). Considerate of neighbours, too.

I had heard horror stories about movers in Toronto, basically that they are all crooked and whichever mover you choose you are only ever choosing between degrees of how crookedness. Rent-A-Son was a surprising bright spot in a move that would have been absolutely brutal to do ourselves. They worked very hard the entire time and took a lot of care with our belongings. I would absolutely recommend them. The only downside is they are a bit pricey, but I think you get what you pay for and it was worth it to us given how good the experience was.

I recently undertook a long distance move from Toronto to Windsor. Needless, to say I was concerned about finding a reputable mover at a good price. The Canadian Association of Movers recommended Rent-a-Son, and as soon as I contacted them the ball was rolling. Amanda was most helpful in providing expert advise and a prompt and reasonable quote. There was constant follow-up over the course of several weeks until my moving day. On my departure day two articulate and energetic young gentlemen, Jeff and Justin, arrived at my residence at the agreed upon time and got to work. They carefully wrapped all my antiques and LED tvs, and carefully loaded them in their truck. The next day they arrived in Windsor (again at the agreed upon time) and carefully unpacked and unwrapped my possessions. They even brought items to the appropriate room in my new home. I could not have been happier with Rent-a-Son's service. Their customer care is first-rate and I would highly recommend them to my friends and associates.

The guys showed up on time, in fact a little early. They were respectful and understood the stress of moving. Their good humour made things much, much easier for my wife and I. In addition, they worked hard to move us as quickly and safely as possible. The bill was a higher than expected but our move took longer than anticipated.

Andrej, Sylvain, and Carl were awesome. They were punctual and professional. They documented everything and took extreme care on the delicate items.They aimed to complete the job within the quoted time. They had an issue getting the box springs to the upper level, but manged to hoist them to the top of the house and bring them down. Quick, smart, and respectful. You will not get hijacked with these guys. Note, the quote included 2 pickup locations and the move was mid-week.

The good: The sales team was responsive and professional, and the movers were friendly and courteous. They wrapped all my furniture up in padding, which is great if you have expensive furniture or equipment. Jake even managed to dissemble (and reassemble) my desk because it didn’t fit through my doors, which impressed me because I thought I’d have to leave the desk behind. The bad: The move ended up costing significantly more than the quote. I expected it to cost more because my stuff required more boxes than I’d guessed. However, the $1249 final cost for moving a one-bedroom plus den condo 12 kilometres is on the expensive side. Also, one of the movers was 30 minutes late, and I was initially charged for this time. However, the office contacted me after I left this review and refunded the overcharge for the late mover, as well as clarifying another billing complaint I'd had. It's good to know they're responsive to customer feedback.

TSN (Tony, Sylvain, and Nick) were awesome, pleasant, and professional. My items were wrapped and moved with care. This was my first experience with Rent -a-Son. I will definitely recommend and use it in the future.

We HIGHLY recommend Rent a Son as a moving company. The quote was very similar to two other higher end movers that I inquired about. What sold it for me, from the beginning, is Erika, the senior coordinator. She is very friendly and helpful. And the actual move was perfect as well. Three gentlemen came to move us from one condo to another. Very professional and very friendly. Not a single damage could be found. And it was done with efficiency and speed. Rent a Son may not be your cheapest option out there, but you get what you pay for. For us, it was TRULY worth the extra couple of hundreds of dollars.

Rent-A-Son is amazing! They moved us from our apartment in downtown Toronto to our home in the country about 2 hours northeast of the city. Not only did they make the move non-stressful, they made it an absolute delight. The three young men who did the moving, Aslan, Allan and Daniel, were energetic, efficient, focused. They worked together like a well-oiled machine, and showed incredible ingenuity and creativity when it came to moving into the unconventional spaces of a country home. Nothing phased them, nothing was difficult for them. Our move began at 9 in the morning and ended at seven in the evening, and for the entire time the movers were cheerful and accommodating. Thanks as well to Amanda Strathdee of Rent-A-Son for organizing it all. If you need to move, call Rent-A-Son. They are truly amazing.

RI hired Rent-a-Son last summer to move me out of my house and store all of my belongings. I was incredibly impressed with the movers during the move. They wrapped everything completely and were extremely careful, yet also very fast. They also did an excellent job with storage, and the owner and all of the employees I have dealt with have been highly courteous and great to work with at every stage of the move and storage. I can't recommend Rent-a-Son highly enough.
