    Moving

I had to leave the country for a couple of months and I was weary about hiring movers. A friend recommended 2 Men and a Truck moving services to me so I gave them a try. The 2 guys that showed up were very professional, hard working and friendly. I am very happy that I called them and surely will again when I need them.

    move

I chose 2 men and a truck because of the phone call I had before booking. The person I spoke with on the phone (Paul i think) was forthcoming with information and answered all of my questions. While this company is not the cheapest, I decided to go ahead with them based on that phone call. On moving day Shawn and Bill arrived. Very polite and got right to work. The move took a bit longer than expected but that was because I asked them to disassemble and reassemble some furniture. I absolutely trusted the guys with my stuff. Everything was treated with care and respect, even me. Appreciated. Have already told some friends about the service.

    Condo to Condo move

I needed to move a couple blocks in downtown Toronto between two condos. I had a free 'onsite consultation' to asses the move. They said it was easy and could get it done in the elevator booking time I had indicated. They showed up late, disorganized, may have got 40% of the loading job done in my window and only because I stepped in and forcefully instructed them to stop prepping and get stuff out. I had to move the rest myself later that day. A lot of very poor judgement calls on their part, I would not trust them again. I had directly asked during the onsite pre-visit if supplies were included in the final quote they gave me, they said yes. When I went to sign the invoice of course it had increased 30% for supplies. This may have been a communication error as they indicated it was, but too many things went wrong with this move for me to be remotely forgiving.

    moving

after being told I had an easy move... deliberate misrepresentations were told when quoting. we were charged 350.00extra, numerous items were broken or damaged. not surprising since things were moved upside down. Not all things were moved so we had to hire someone else to go back and complete the job.---it was moving apt. to apt. no appliances etc. it should have been easy and quick - it wasn't - it was a nightmare.

    Moving house

Overall we were satisfied with the actual moving, BUT there were a number of issues that would make me hesitate to reco this company. 1. I had specifically hired these movers because they advertised (and later confirmed during the on-site estimate) that they were "piano moving experts." NOT TRUE! During the estimate, I had pointed out that our piano, on the 2nd floor, weighed 450 lbs and had been difficult to get upstairs when the original (professional) piano movers brought it in years earlier. The 2 Men & a Truck estimator assured me it would be no problem to get it out and I believed him. When the 3 movers tried to get it downstairs, they tried for 45 minutes before they finally gave up. I was worried either one of them, the piano or the house would get seriously damaged, so I agreed that they should stop. They advised me to "hire some professional piano movers." Ridiculous, as this was what I had been promised they were. 2. We had an issue with our closing and the furniture had to sit on their truck overnight. The movers initially assured us this was a free service they provided (should have gotten that in writing! it sounded too good to be true). When it came time to pay and we asked for a rebate on the piano moving portion, since I now had to pay $250 for real piano movers, they told us that the piano cost was offset by the overnight storage charge. [for the record, when the expert piano movers came the next day, they had the piano down the stairs and out the front door in 10 minutes.] 3. We also had an iPod disappear during the move. I have no proof that they took it, but it was on our office desk along with some other items, I heard one of them say "there's an iPod up here and I'm putting it in a drawer," and when the desk arrived at the new house there was nothing in the drawer and the iPod hasn't been seen since. If I had been paying attention I should have gone and got it from them at the time -- or, would have been nice if they brought it to me (or left it where it was in the office, since we still had lots of little items in there, like the computer, that we still had to pack up). Why would they put an iPod into an empty drawer when there were all sorts of other odds and ends around the house that they didn't choose to pack up? Overall the move was fine, nothing got broken, they were friendly, courteous and did the job in the time estimated, but I nonetheless felt a bit like we'd been ripped off.

Moved us from one house to another

Easiest move we have ever had (and we have moved more than 20 times in 6 different countries)! Two Men and a Truck didn’t just move our boxes and furniture but took extra care to move our family. They made sure our sons most treasured belongings went in last and came out first. The booking agent was helpful, accommodating, and explained everything. The price was reasonable and the movers were careful, quick, and hard working. It was the hottest day of the summer and yet they remained positive, helpful and with great attitudes. They took extra care to protect our belongings and were highly efficient and professional. I hope we don’t move again but if we did we would definitely use Two Men and A Truck.

    Moved my piano

They arrived on time, came prepared but the whole process of moving the piano took quite some time. I understand it's not an easy task but it wasn't as daunting at they made it out to be. Measure doorways and move it, I have an open concept for them to easily move it out. Took over an hour, to move it roughly 15 feet.

    Dissapointed in the end

I hired this company, 3 guys came everything was good however when they had to start taking apart the furniture, none of them had tools. I lend them my power drill. After they left the power drill, was gone. I phoned the office and they made me feel like it was me that misplaced it, I explained that I did not use it, that their workers had it in their keep the whole time of the move. 3 months later that drill, box etc.. nothing has every showed up within my house. I phoned the company again to tell them I did not find it and asked if it could be replaced. They have NEVER returned my call. my advice to this company is supply tools to your workers so that they are not what they call " borrowing tools" from the customers.

Moving sucks, movers sucked even more...

terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible. I could go on and on and on. Two Men and a Truck should be ashamed of themselves. Movers community should disbar them from calling themselves movers. Seriously. THey are that bad. Save your $, go to ANYONE else, hire donkeys, if you have to, who will certainly do a better job. The movers were terible, their managers worse. No ownership of the crap service they provided. Never will.

    Movers

Moved from a condo to an apartment in Toronto. These guys sent a gentlemen to assess my home and accurately estimated how many boxes and movers were needed. They got everything done on time and didn't break/lose anything. They also brought their own packing materials and such (tape/blankets). A+++
