Some years ago my husband found an amazing wool carpet on kijij for a great price, after seeing Ben's reviews online we called, he was able to ID the carpet in an instant and returned it perfectly clean. Since then I've come feel hand knotted wool is best since they are less toxic and demonstrate an artists story. Someone knotted each knot with purpose and care! Anyways, this year we were given an older wool carpet so I called "that rug guy" again and he stopped in to check it out. Ben was totally honest about the carpet and how far he could restore it. In the end I decided it wasn't worth it and was sad to see my dream of a second wool carpet vanish. But the next morning Ben called us and asked us if he could help us out with a carpet! He very kindly gave us a great quality second hand wool rug for another room in our home. No charge! So, the most important thing is that Ben cares about people with carpets, even if those people have very small budgets and no business dreaming of deliciously warm, inviting, beautifully crafted rugs. Thanks Ben, you've shared a little Isfahan with our family and are part of our story every time someone asks us about our beautiful rugs. I should also note that Ben perfectly restored a very old Turkish rug that will make a wonderful gift for a friend. So we also get to give something beautiful away. Making this story complete. K
