Contracted with Skylights Unlimited for the install of a skylight. Appointment process, quotation and scheduling the install were very smooth. Crew showed up on time and got the work done over three days (plus two days over the weekend where the scaffolding remained). Overall, the crew was great, with a tendency towards colourful language due to the difficult nature of the installation. I gave them an 8/10 mostly due to the fact that some of the evidence of their installation remains such as pencil marks on the walls where they cutout the openings (which of course, I cannot reach),
some type of liquid spill remains on the same wall, and a damaged stair tread where their scaffolding was resting. I received an email from them asking me to write a review and I wrote back saying I would mention all the defects, or they could come back and correct
them after which I would write my review. Unfortunately, I never heard back from them, and the damage to the stair tread can't really be sanded down easily without really affecting the look, so now I'm left with trying to figure out how to replace a single tread.
If they contact me and fix the damage, I'll happily upgrade my review to a 10/10.
Update: true to his reputation, Denis came by to review the work and managed to fix my issues where he could, and where it didn't make sense for him to try to repair, we agreed he would help me out on my next piece of work with him.
Very satisfied.
