    Spray Foam Cold Cellar

    Both Alana and the installers were great. I did have an issue on the 1st day they were coming out where I was originally booked for 9:30 am but they weren't able to come out till 4pm because of another job. I did state to the guy that called to reschedule for another day that I did needed the room done on the dates promised because of a party I was having on New years eve and the installers were great because the made a point of coming to my house when they were done the 1st job and they stayed late till they were done.

    Spray Foam and Fiber Glass

    For the most part everything has been going fairly well, with just one issue that was addressed promptly by Richard and Nick to keep things on track. Richard, Nick, Alana and Linda have all been very professional to deal with and are genuinely concerned about customer service and the quality of the work. As I mentioned, only one issue arose and that was when the installer (Carl) forgot to bring a piece of equipment to spray foam a small section of an exterior 2x4 wall that needed to be done before drywall could be installed. This caused a delay in the drywall installation but when I brought it to Richards attention, he dispatched Nick to the house a few days later to take care of it. Nick also promised to expedite the remaining spray foam and blow in insulation to get us back on track which he has done by scheduling them both in for the end of the month. So far, so good!

    Flat Attic

    I chose Great Northern Insulation based on the positive feedback I read on the Homestar’s website. When I called to get a quote, an appointment was set up immediately. I had called two other insulation companies but one didn’t bother to respond, while the other didn’t respond until after Bill had come and gone. Bill was extremely friendly and informative. When I received the quote it pretty much mirrored the cost the folks on Homestar’s had shared so I gave the go-ahead. Apparently there was a misunderstanding as to what work was to be completed once the installers arrived however, once I called Bill, he totally diffused the situation, and assured me all would be taken care of and at no extra charge. Imagine my great relief and surprise when he followed through within the week and made good on his promise. I am so impressed that I let everyone know, including friends on face book who they should hire should they need insulation. Your installers were also very friendly and respectful of my home, putting down sheeting and ensuring everything was left in good order. They were polite, quick and efficient. Again, very impressed. My total experience in dealing with Northern, from the office staff to the sales representative and finally, to the installers was top notch! I will not hesitate to recommend your services. Thank you for your great service and professionalism!

    Flatt Attic Top Up to R50

    Your sales rep Matt was great. He showed up when he said he would and went over things thoroughly regarding the quote. The installers were on time as well and installation was good for the most part. There was a bit of a hiccup with the bathroom vent but they did explain the situation to me and got things fixed up. The only issue I did have with them is that I found that they were not that careful when pulling the hose throughout the house as the doors and trim were scraped up and left a fair bit of insulation pieces on the floor in the house and outside after they left. Clean up could have been better. I had no issues with the office staff.

    Attic Top Up

    Alana the sales agent was great. I found her to be knowledgeable and helpful. I think she does a good job for your company. The only suggestion I have for her, is she might be a bit quicker on responding to calls/emails. Installers were great. Don't know what they could have done to improve. Value for money!

    Main Floor Attic

    Matt was great to deal with as a sales rep. The install guys showed up a day earlier than I expected and cleaned up after themselves, so all was good there as well. I would recommend you to others.

    Soffit to Peak of Roof

    The installation went smooth, and the installers did a good job at prepping before applying SF. My experience with Great Northern has been a positive one. I attempted to contact some of your competitors, and found them unresponsive ( not returning calls etc. etc.) Mr. Barlow was good to deal with, his assurances on what to expect and the installation process were as described. Overall, we are satisfied and would recommend this firm.

    Attic

    The guys were friendly, on time, explained everything and left without any mess or issues (nothing I've noticed anyhow). The only downside was the scheduling due to the local office admin quitting (or so I was told) and my order getting lost for a bit but that was taken care of quickly once we figured out what had happened. Other than that everything went great.

    the overall experience was great. Everyone was helpful and prompt. I appreciate the professionalism very much. Everything was handled to great satisfaction. Pleasure to do business with such a company and I will recommend them with pleasure.

    Exterior Walls

    We are very happy with the job that your installers have done in the appartment. Everything passed code without a problem and we are now moving forward with drywall. Bill Barlow is another person that we were impressed with. He answered all our questions and even got us the paperwork that we needed for the inspector. Even at 9 pm. He had it to us in less than half an hour. We are very pleased with the service that your company has provided.
