We had a cedar roof that we wanted to convert to asphalt. Cody and his team delivered in regards to completing the work within the time slot they specified on track and on budget. Time will tell on how well the roof holds but it looks great and solid! Some very minor things such as a couple of leftover nails and debris on the ground and a broken, in-ground sprinkler head. But these are very minor items. Out of the 7 companies that I received quotes from, Adanac was the best in terms of coming to the site to deliver the estimate, giving us a reasonable price, getting us scheduled within a very quick time slot. They also did not require any deposits or partial payments! You do not pay a cent until they are done the job and you are satisfied with the work. Once we confirmed with Adanac, they were quick to start the work and got the job done fast. Cody was very responsive and easy to get a hold of throughout the entire process and quickly addressed any issues that we had. Overall, good experience going with Adanac.

Adanac roofing is far superior then any other roofing company. They were professional easy to deal with extremely hard working and my roof is beautiful!! Highly recommend this company. They were extremely polite and I came home to a spotless yard. Pricing was extremely reasonable. They are a very honest company.

Dan and team were fabulous! After obtaining more then a dozen quotes, and interviewing several companies, we decided the roofing project for our strata property should be left in the hands of Adanac. From start to finish, they were professional, consistent, and reliable. Two days into the project an owner, who was very concerned about safety and disruption, emailed the following: "I'm super impressed with the roofers! They're so fast and actually quite friendly. Great job of choosing some quality and professional services! Well played, strata council, well played...yay! Looks great too." Another owner was super impressed with the care they took protecting her garden area, which was right under the roof line...because of that care, she is now proudly boasting of her 2 foot long zucchini that would not have survived the roofing debris had they not paid the attention they did. Even before the project started, Dan responded quickly to some minor leaks we experienced. (guess it really was time for a new roof) All told, I look forward to using Adanac for the roofing needs of a planned future build, and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone with roofing needs.

Adanac Roofing has always been on my list as one of the Go To roofing contractors in the Lower Mainland. Why? Because they install a roof system better than any contractor I have worked with over the years (I supervise roof projects for stratas).They are courteous as well. The sub-contractors that work for Adanac are top of the line, and the in-house crew is the best. That's why our strata council chose them to replace the roofs in my strata complex. That pretty much says it all. Dan Marr is very knowledgeable and his office Manager Trisha runs a tight ship. The crew at Adanac really are professional. We will bring them back when we replace our gutters next year.

We just purchased a home and learned through our iHome Inspector that we would require a new roof. I stumbled on to the HoseStars website and sought out a roofing company based strictly on their ratings and reviews. It appeared to be a no brainer to call Adanac Roofing first. I contacted Kurt to try and arrange a time to meet at our new home to get an estimate on the roof. Amazingly, Kurt provided me with a full estimate on the same day without having to visit my home. We met with Kurt a few days later to confirm the estimate and choose the style and colour of roofing. He was courteous, professional, and on time. He responded quickly to my calls and emails and essentially agreed to the start date we were aiming for. My wife and I were completely impressed with the crew that showed up to do the work. My wife and I have not dealt with many contractors but JC the foreman and his crew, Jenkins, Abner and Franz were some of the most polite, courteous guys we have ever met. They cleaned up at the end of every day, communicated with us on a daily basis, and were simply a pleasure to deal with. They started the job smack in the middle of a heat wave and these guys worked their tails off until the job was done. There were some unexpected obstacles with our steep driveway and the job took a day longer than expected. We were charged exactly as we were quoted. My first experience with HomeStars was a positive one based on the great reliable work that the Adanac team did for us. Thank you so much for a job well done!

From start to finish this was a project that exceeded my expectations in every respect. Kurt, the project manager, was a true professional and excellent communicator when discussing the initial estimate and answering my several questions about the details and overall process. I could immediately tell that JC and his roofing crew were very skilled at what they do. They were efficient, tidy, and courteous at all times. Even though it was not part of their job, they did not hesitate to nail a loose siding board at my request. Joel, the one man gutter show, was equally impressive. Like JC, he went above and beyond in giving me a high quality gutter job with many added personal touches. He was fast but thorough and is also a very personable guy. I also have to mention Trisha in Accounting. She helped clear up a minor issue with the final invoice and did it with class and good-naturedness! You should be proud of all of them, Mr. Marr.

From Cody who came, looked outside and inside and jumped us up ahead to the young lad who never stopped cleaning up,this is hands down the very best roofing company that I have ever had and I will not stop telling people about them. They stayed within the quote and gave me a discount I didn't even know about. Cody and Dan, I cannot say THANK YOU! enough.

I recently had my cedar roof replaced and was so impressed with the result, I felt compelled to provide a strong positive endorsement to Adanac Roofing and Gutters for the exceptional job they did. I had put off the replacement of the roof for as long as possible, but after 25+ years it was time for the original cedar roof to be replaced. Like many of us, I began searching ‘on-line’ for roofing contractors. Once I had a list of five or six, I searched the BBB (Better Business Bureau) for their overall ratings, issue resolution, customer reviews and overall comments. This provided me with a short list of three companies that I would solicit information and price quotes from. In the past, I’m sure you’ve had contractors make appointments and not show up or show up late; very frustrating. Dan Marr (President) from Adanac showed up on time as promised. Dan had a look at the roof and we had good professional conversation about the job and he provided his thoughts around the replacement of the cedar roof. He committed to get back to me in a couple of days with a quote. During this time I also afforded the same opportunity to the two other companies that I had short-listed. One fellow climbed the roof and took a bunch of measurements climbed down and gave me a price on the spot. He showed me a couple of samples and said he was taking reservations in the next month or so. Having not made up my mind and not feeling entirely comfortable, I dismissed him and his company. The other company was very much the same, taking measurements and provided a quick verbal quote. Being a business man I prefer to have things in writing explaining everything so there are no misunderstandings. On que two days later Dan showed up as promised and on time with a very complete and detailed information and quote. It was interesting that Dan used satellite imagery to get the square footage of my roof. In the package was a Work Safe BC clearance letter, BCCSA Certificate of Recognition (BC construction Safety Alliance), Liability Coverage Insurance letter, BBB Rating, Shingle Master Certification, Home Stars Best Award and very detailed information on selecting a Roof. Dan had samples of the synthetic roofing underlay (Titanium UDL 50) along with the Certain Tweed samples and warranty information. Needless to say I had a lot of information and Dan was more than willing to answer all my questions. I took it on step further and asked Dan to provide me with a list of addresses of homes that he has done in the area with the three levels of Landmark Designer shingles. The next day I had a list of nine homes in the area with TL trim which is what we decided to check out. With addresses in hand we checked out each home and in one case actually talked to the home owner explaining we were in the process of making a decision. The home owner expressed their satisfaction in every way with the folks at Adanac. Despite the fact that Adanac wasn’t the cheapest and for that matter it wasn’t the most expensive; we felt comfortable with the Dan and at that point told him we’d like to move ahead with our roof but wanted to wait a couple months for spring and better weather. Dan was very accommodating and agreed and put us in the que. We decided on the Landmark Pro series in Moire Black with the alu-rex pro series Rain Gutters. Spring came and it was ‘go time’. One of my fears in this process was the mess, the disruption and living in a construction zone. Construction began on the day communicated and six friendly roofers began the job. I must say that these young fellows were polite, friendly and genuinely enjoyed their job. These guys were pros. The demolition started with the removal of the old shakes, replacing the damaged strapping, installing the new ¾” fir sheathing, installing diamond deck, water and ice guard and applying the shingles. A really nice touch was the high profile capping and venting. The venting is important as I learned for the proper ventilation which permits air flow. They also installed a new sky light. We love the new gutters and down spouts as well. There are, I’m sure, a number of companies that pride themselves on having a clean work site but with vehicles up and down the driveway I needed it to be spotless, and it was. I can’t say enough about the crew; the guys were great. Well, we are about a month into our new roof and I can’t wait for it to rain! I would without reservation recommend the good folks at Adanac . I recently had my roof replaced by Adanac Roofing about 2 months ago. I promised Kurt I would do a review for Adanac because the whole experience and installation was done correctly from beginning to end. Right from the start, Kurt was very courteous and professional. He answered all of my questions patiently and addressed any questions and concerns that I had. He was not pushy, but allowed me to consider the options, explained the benefits of one product over the another and allowed me the time to consider the quotation and followed-up without being pushy. I had some additional concerns around the chimney area which he was willing to address as well, so thumbs up for that. The installation of the roof took about two days. The team worked quickly and was very polite. It was amazing to see how much roofing material came off, but the exceptional part was how well they cleaned up. The yard looked so clean, you would not believe that the roofing was done the same day. Overall, it was a great experience from a customer perspective. I have no hesitation recommending them to my friends and family when their roofs need to be replaced. Great communication, installation, and clean-up. Great job to Kurt and his crew! - Ray

I obtained 3 separate quotes and Adanac came in with the best value for the complete job, plus Adanac replaced the roof of two neighbours 2 years ago and both were very happy with the work. The quote package was complete, easy to follow and covered off all aspects of the job detailing exactly what work would be performed. I was provided a list of past jobs in my area that indicated the color and style of shingle used. This was very helpful selecting a color for our house. The crew were on time, got to work right away and did a complete clean up each day. The roof looks great and all of the ridge and hip caps are straight. We went with the triple layer which has a nice definition. The gutters were installed 3 days after the roof was complete. Again the crew got right to work and were finished early afternoon, which was impressive as I had two outbuildings that were also reroofed and guttered. Dan, my wife and I want to thank you for a great experience and a roof that looks fantasic.
