I have used Public Plummings service for two years now. They are very reliable and the work is professional. I would recommend Public Plumming to anyone that needs plumming service or bathroom and other renovations.

Hard to diagnos issue. Jon arrived from Public plumbers, Through job end to end with a passion for solving problems. Equipment was top notch, price was over and above reasonable. Would highly recommend.

Vlad appeared within 3 hours of my call, assessed the situation, did the repair in a prompt and professional manner, and with a sense of humor! No charge for what he taught me. It's a relief to find an honest and competent tradesperson.

I had the fellows from Public Plumbing rough-in my planned basement bathroom. My sister had used them for a job in her basement - essentially fixing someone else's mistakes, and had highly recommended them. I had three highly rated contractors come in to quote, and while I would have been happy to have hired any of them, the personal reference and the very reasonable price tipped my decision in Public's favour. From the start, they were comprehensive and detailed when they came in for the quote, reassuring me that they would not be satisfied until I was happy with the job. Indeed, they were very easy to get a hold of if I had questions and promptly returned any messages I left with them. The entire job took two days - the second day being quite long due to some of the peculiarities of my basement. As soon as the crew entered my house, they took care to protect any surfaces that could be damaged and when they left, there was no evidence of them being there beyond the work itself, which was excellent. The work included breaking the concrete slab, ripping out the old clay drainpipes that were there, replacing them, roughing in for a toilet, shower stall, sink, laundry sink and washing machine, then running the hot and cold supply (PEX) and hooking everything up to the vent. I couldn't be more pleased. The concrete work was smooth and solid (unlike previous work I had done by another contractor - review to follow!), everything was exactly where I'd requested it and the whole job looks very neat and tidy. 2 weeks ago my water tap started to lick , day after a day it was getting worse , water was running badly! After I saw my water bill and I was very disappointed! I have talked to my concierge in the building and he gave me the number of Public Plumbing.I have called them immediately - and in 2 hours my water tap was like new! Thank You Naz!

I had a fairly simple job to replace and old, inefficient hot water heater. After calling around I found that most places quoted somewhat ridiculous prices for this job, I stumbled upon Public Plumbing and there price was much better than what everyone else quoted me. The gentleman that came did an amazing job, he was very neat, thorough, and quick. He even took my old water heater for recycling.

The person that answered the phone was quote apprupt/rude but the technician that came was nice. Did not like how the original quote given changed with out the technician telling the owner first, as a owner I like to budget and have choices. Later one of the issues that I pointed out to the technician was an issue again so I call them back on the same day and the person that answered the phone indicted its a new charge becuase its different from the original request. Very dissapointning

I'd been putting off replacing the ancient shutoff valve and corroded water service from the basement to the property line. When I needed the work done in a short time-frame, Public Plumbing was recommended. I found the people friendly and very knowledgeable, the communication good, the price fair, and the quality of work excellent. The job was started quickly, and was all done in one day, including excellent cleanup both inside and outside the house. The 20-year guarantee shows they stand behind the quality of their work. I'd recommend Public Plumbing highly to anyone who needs plumbing work done.

We discovered we had a sewage backup in our basement a couple of weeks ago in our 80+ year-old house. On a recommendation from a neighbour we called Public Plumbing. I have to say that the experience was positive in every aspect. The guys from Public Plumbing came over and gave me a step-by-step explanation of what our problem was (tree roots through the drains), and how they were going to correct it. They dug into our floors, and replaced all of the clay pipe with plastic and installed a backflow valve to prevent further problems. The city inspector actually commented on how good the work is when he came-by for approval. The price paid is lower than what we've heard other people have paid for similar situations. Topping all this off - the guys left our basement extremely clean (and mid-job, with all of the earth around, I wasn't sure how it would look). Overall: The guys at Public Plumbing are good people. They communicate regularly with the client (so refreshing). They are reasonable. They do a great job, in the time quoted, for the price quoted, and leave it clean. Thank you to everybody at Public Plumbing for giving us peace-of-mind and doing a fantastic job.

We had a persistent sewer smell problem in our basement and bedroom closet. We called another plumber who quoted a $1000 smoke test in order to find the source of the sewer gas leak. We called Public Plumbing for a 2nd opinion and with some investigation Vlad was able to determine there was no P-Trap for the laundry drain and a corroded area in the original cast iron vent stack in our closet area. He fixed the problem the next day without the need for an expensive smoke test and the stink is gone. Thanks Vlad!
