We had water getting in from the exterior causing water damage in our kitchen. Joe came out promptly to investigate and provided a reasonable quote. John and Tara came a few days later on a frigid December day. They carefully built a covered shelter around the plants to complete the work properly given the cold temperatures. They walked us through the waterproofing processed and took pictures along the way to keep us updated. John and Tara took the extra time to put back the bricks and the window sill in a way that looked the most pleasing to the eye. We could not be happier with how it turned out!

The reason work was necessary: The old drainage system in front of our garage that wasn't working, resulted in lots of water in the garage and garage floor heaving. The work included: removal of and installation of new concrete garage floor, new drain in front of garage leading to a weeping tile and French drain system in the back yard. This company was amazing. Greg, who came to give us the quote, answered all of our questions very thoroughly and responded to texts immediately and was very pleasant and professional. Dom started the work within a week. Dom's professionalism was exceptional. He was a pleasure to have around; very personable and honest and obviously takes great pride in his work. He was incredibly careful about his plan and made sure we were happy with every part of the plan before he started and made it clear that if there were any results we weren't happy with he would gladly come back and adjust it. The original concrete under the floor was also much thicker than usual but he just got it out and didn't complain or take extra time doing it. He was also very careful of our belongings and our property. The trench excavation he did for the French drain was "surgical;" he cut out the sod in our yard and organized it so he could put it back in place after he was done and he made it look like the grass had not been touched. He made sure every measure was taken to result in the most secure, water resistant floor (i.e. rebar, screening, weeping tile beneath the concrete that was connected to a robust drainage system with a long and wide drain that spanned the garage width, large catch basin leading to an extra long weeping tile that was sleeved and lined with a membrane and coiled into the pit). He came early each morning to do the work and stayed late each day. On the day the concrete was poured, he stayed for hours smoothing the wet concrete (even after dark) to keep everything running on schedule. The job was completed in 5 days and the quoted cost was what we were charged at the end of the job. The workmanship is beautiful. We were incredibly happy with every step of this job and have already recommend this company to our friends.

The stone work on the stairs was excellent, they look fantastic. There were some challenges with the mortar work but Joe took over and stayed at it until we were happy with the total job. The sign of a great company is one that recognizes things do not always go according to plan but stays with it until the customer is completely satisfied. We have another project to do in the spring and A & A will be our choice for the contractor to do it.

A&A Masonry was great to work with. Their staff was friendly and informative. Dominic, who did the installation, was great. He kept us informed and asked how we wanted things done before doing anything. The result is a great and we are very happy with how everything turned out. Would highly recommend them!

I received a fair quote from Hayden to rebuild a catch basin at the bottom of my sloping driveway. He was prompt in responding and managed to squeeze in this job before the season ended (November). Other contractors initially contacted refused to take the work, so i was happy they were able to accommodate my needs to rebuild the basin before winter. I dealt with Domenic who completed the work over a 6 day period. Domenic was not only extremely skilled and experienced in completing the work but was also accommodating and patient in walking me through the work, explaining the approach and discussing various options and answering question. He took his time and did not cut any corners. It was the equivalent of taking a Master Class in masonry (for which i learned a hell of a lot over the course of 6 days). He was polite, professional and I would not hesitate recommending him to anyone needing brick or masonry work. End result, the rebuild is far superior than what was done by the previous contractor. This basin is rock solid, which means i will probably not see him again! Thanks Domenic and Hayden for the excellent work and experience!

I can’t recommend Jonathan enough! He was so amazing he fixed a terrible job I had before on the purging my house and he cleaned up all the bricks. he noticed other cracks in my house that needed fixing. I had him do so much work on my house and he went above and beyond on everything. If I ever need anything else I’m only coming to him. If you need someone you can trust to fix the foundation of your house or the bricks on your house he is totally that guy to do it. It would give him 20 out of 10 if I could. You won’t be disappointed.

I went onto the HomeStars website and requested work to be done on my 100 year old Semi-detached home. Within hours, I received a few emails and filled out my contact info with them. Haizel from A&A Masonry called and we spoke about the details of my request for a masonry company. She understood all the terms (need to put in grout, parge the bottom of house...) that I was saying and set up an appointment. Haizel Gura came to my home and talked to my husband regarding the scope of work (I had an appointment suddenly come up). She gave my husband her business card and said that if I had any questions, she would come back to discuss them with me. Haizel is a wonderful person to work with. She took pictures of the brick work and foundation, explained where repairs were needed and gave me a verbal quote right away (I needed info for my mortgage lender). Once in the office, a written quote was sent by email and I reviewed and signed. Joe from A&A called to set up a work schedule. Apparently, quite a few people are renovation their homes but he was able to fit us in - YAH!!! Tara and Kurt came on a nice sunny day and started work. My home is 2-story and very old, plus they had to replace most if not all the mortar between the bricks and not just putting cement over the cracks in our foundation but found that it needed repair as well so we had to increase the scope of the work and I authorized the increase in costs. The next day it rained but they came out anyway hoping that it would let up. Now THAT'S dedication to your craft. It didn't stop but they were hard a work the next few days in the cold and windy weather but they finished and did an excellent job of matching the existing mortar (what was left of it) and cleaned up each day so that somebody would not get hurt. AND it came with a 5 year warranty on the brickwork. I highly recommend A&A Masonry for any concrete or masonry work. It was a good experience all around from the HomeStars request to the end of the work. Kudos to the very nice people that work at A&A Masonry.

After being unsuccessful for several months in finding someone that could and would help us with our garage floor repair, we found A&A. We had a pretty tight timeline and they were able to get the work done. They were very responsive...followed up with us before, during and after the job to make sure that everything was done to our satisfaction. Everyone involved from Dominic who did the work and Haizel who helped get the job co-ordinated were a pleasure to deal with. Can't say enough great things about the quality of Dominic's work...he did a fantastic job and we are very happy with the overall result.

Our house was badly in need of a new front landing and a step to the side door. A&A Masonry came to the rescue. We consulted with Maryanna and she found our preferred interlock, even though it was late in the season. I received an email a day prior to the expected installation. The date had to be changed due to inclement weather but Justin always responded quickly to queries and kept us posted as to the eventual installation date. Bill and Thomas arrived when they said they would. They were professional, accommodating and very pleasant to work with. We had a discussion about whether to keep part of the old edging or replace it and Bill was ready to hop in his truck and get the necessary pieces, if we chose to go with all new curbs. In the end, we kept some of the old curbs but I really appreciated Bill's willingness to step up, if need be. The side step was a huge, solid, heavy piece of slate and I was impressed how the guys worked out a way to move it into place. It was also reassuring how well Bill and Thomas worked together, there was never a discouraging word between them. We are really pleased with the results, I would unreservedly recommend A&A Masonry and call on them for any other masonry work. Thanks, guys!

Needed to remove and replace concrete steps in front of house. Company was very responsive during the quoting process. When it came time to do the work, Dom did a great job in explaining what will be done, answered all my questions and did what he said he would. Very happy with the results. Can't complain about anything.
