We are thoroughly pleased with A&A Masonry. The front steps on our 1950s house had deteriorated badly. There are seven large steps which curve up to the front porch, so the job was non-standard. Nigel from A&A came up with the idea of repairing and then refacing the steps with cut stone. Mike translated this idea into a really impressive solution. We could not have imagined how well the job would turn out. Mike and Quintin were a pleasure to have on-site. They worked hard, carefully, and with good humour. They also repaired a lot of damaged brickwork around the front porch. I can no longer tell where they made the repairs, it was done so well. Great ideas and quality work.

We are really pleased with the work that Johnathan and Justin did on our home. It was a tough job with a lot of scaffolding (3-story semi-detached house) with some tight spots to get to, but neither complained. They were thorough and ensured that all aspects of the job were done with care, even including the clean up. The quality of their work was excellent and we really appreciated the time they took to explain things to us. They were friendly and professional and in general, a pleasure to work with. It was apparent that they cared about doing an excellent job and took pride their work. We have already recommended them to neighbours.

From when I first got contacted by Nigel after requesting a quote, to the work done by Mike and his team, A &A Masonry were professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. We had a column on the front of our house with severe erosion and a several other areas with less intensive replacements. The matching work on the brick was better than we expected and we are very pleased with the work. Would certainly contact them again of we require further masonry services in the future.

Wow! The parging was done so well, that neighbours are approaching me! Benny is so meticulous with his work - expect a call from my neighbour as they saw him from their window and were also impressed! Thank you Benny and A and A Masonry!

A&A did a great job on my front porch and walkway. I converted my walkway from interlock to sandstone and also laid sandstone on my porch. A job that required laying cement, dogging out the old sand, laying down a lot of stone. All done with accurate care. The job started with Nigel coming out to provide me an accurate quote on the work and materials. They made it easy for me to buy the material from one of the better known suppliers in the area. Not a Mickey Mouse operation. A&A is very professional from Nigel and Libby on sales and contract support to Joe scheduling the crews days in advance, organizing my bin for material removal, all done on the dates they stated upfront. This is very reliable. Then the crew lead by Eduardo was great. Why? He has experience on many many jobs and he applied that experience to my project. Laying down a pattern, designing the stairs to make my porch look great. He discussed all key decisions with me in advance and have me options. In the end Eduardo was very prompt each day starting by 8am and working his butt off in 35 degree heat to get the job done quickly and with high quality no cutting corners. He kept the site clean and organized. After each day he and his crew kept things clean and tidy. Very professional. Never had to worry. Below are before and after pictures. The after pictures are minutes batter the job was done. That’s how clean Eduardo left this site!

Jonathan did an excellent job with the foundation around our house. He was here every day completing the job meticulously. He takes great pride in his work and we are very happy with the completed foundation.

Mike and Jonathan did great work, and we plan to use them again. Very meticulous with the small details that make a big difference in the final appearance of the stonework. Three of our neighbours watched them work, and gave them orders.

Our 7-year-old interlock driveway, front patio and steps were suffering from disintegrating coping stones, shifting main blocks and a retaining wall that was collapsing. I sent out an E-mail summary of the problems to five companies. A&A Masonry answered in a few hours and connected me with one of their designers, Maryanna who called me the next morning and who was at my home assessing matters by noon! She analyzed the problems in conjunction with the owner of the company, Al, and his son, Justin, who was assigned as my project manager. Work began less than a week later when the masons, Benny and Llokatelli, started work. They were talented and hard-working, completing the job in two weeks. Most days it was just the two of them but they added reinforcements as required. They also offered creative suggestions that greatly improved the results, as did Al and Justin who visited the site every day. Al in particular has a wealth of experience which he shared generously. One rarely finds this concentration of competence and experience. My wife and I were greatly impressed with the result. So are many of our neighbors. If you can get this company to work on your project, consider yourselves lucky. The price was fair. The work was exceptional.

We contacted A&A Masonry after hearing Frank Cohn recommend them on his Home Improvement Show on Newstalk 1010. Alyson looked after the quote and the follow up. Dwight did the work. Our front porch and walkway had several areas where the mortar in between the rectangular flagstone pieces had cracked and in some cases popped out. Dwight did a fantastic job removing old mortar and replacing it. He worked efficiently and skillfully, putting his many years of experience to use. We were pleased to have the work done within days of booking it. Everyone we encountered at the company, including Alyson, Dwight and Joe, was very professional. Now we know who to call whenever we have another masonry project.

We hired A&A to repair our front columns and it was a fantastic job. Nigel responded immediately with a quote and was at our house within 24 hours of my initial estimate request. I wasn't sure if they could squeeze in a small job but they accommodated me within 5 days of requesting work. I was very impressed. Dwight was professional, thorough, and efficient.
